Noah, Nimrod, Abraham & Lot:
There’s a law of the material universe that a thing left to itself will revert to its natural state. From order and stability comes disorder and chaos. Anything you design build or cultivate by, if left alone, given sufficient time, will revert to nature.
For example: Your lawn, your garden, your house, your car etc. and so on. All these things need to be tended to or they will fall to disrepair and ruin.
I said that, to say this…
The culture that we all live in, this material and spiritual world system, has the same effect on us as believers. As followers of Christ, we must tend to the disciplines of the faith e.g., prayer, bible reading/study,
Christian fellowship and service because the enemy of our souls is going to and fro in the earth seeking whom he may devour.
An a brief survey of (Gen. Ch. 1 – 11) shows that we, humans, left to ourselves, likewise quickly turn away from God. With that there are some gentlemen I’d like to briefly discuss as examples good and bad.
