You put sunflowers in your garden. I was always told sunflowers kill the other plants around it.
Crows are bad to eat small corn plants. We have to put up a scarecrow after planting the corn.
I don’t know about companion planting. I wasn’t raised gardening like that but watch Hollar Homestead and Bri from Scratch. They have beautiful gardens.
❤🎉
Looks like you might have squash bugs or borers. Check underneath the leaves for eggs and the base of the plant for borers.
I saw a tiktok recently of a guy who has some kind of bag that all of the beetles go into the bag to mate and then when the bag is full he pours it into a bowl of water for his chickens to eat them. It sounds like that would be perfect for you! They stop eating your plants, and extra protein for your chickens! I wish I could link the video here.
The smashed garden beds are still beautiful, if you want to you could plant pumpkins or something that vines out in them in the future and it would cover the smashed parts. Either way your garden looks amazing!
Those caterpillars are caused by the white cabbage moth. You could try neem oil, in a spray bottle. There are instructions how to mix it. Best to spray when the sun goes down otherwise the plants can get scorched. It is an organic substance so no chemicals.
It pays to cover the cabbage patch as soon as you plant it with that fine netting you mentioned. I read herbs with a strong scent can help deter the moths. Don’t know how true that is.
Jamerrill your hair looks so pretty. Love your garden, great future harvest!
I put my greenstalks on irrigation because I always forget they need to be watered regardless the rain
I was waiting for an update on your garden! Yay you are doing fabulous. You motivated me to do a small garden. I did start late but live in nc and some things we can get a second harvest so I’m hopeful. Keep up the hard work and letting us have a glimpse of how it’s going 😊
You are doing so awesome!! Great update ❤❤❤
MILKY SPORE GET MILKY SPORE TO KILL THE BEATLES. IT KILLS THE GRUBS IN THE GROUND. SORRY FOR ALL CAPS NOT SHOUTING LOL
Is there benefits to your garden produce plants to having so many nasturtium? I know marigolds help reduce pests due to their strong scent? Nasturtium are beautiful, but I am seeing you plant so many and Becky at Acre Homestead planted quite a few as well. Just curious if it is for color and beauty, or beneficial. New to gardening at 68 years old. Purchased a Greenstalk but green beans, and squash not doing well. I think I bought the wrong one, I thought I was getting the larger "pot" size. My bare root strawberries seem to be doing pretty well.
Question how do you start your garden in the things made of tin and if possible can you tell me the cost
Beautiful garden. We like to forage as well as garden. I'm the weirdo that would have kept some of the "weeds" like lambs quarters which is like spinach. 🙂
For aphids I used a spray bottle of dawn soap and water. They died and didn’t harm my grape vines.
Great looking garden! Let’s hope you get a huge return. Look forward to the canning videos.
Sweet potatos take a long time to produce! I think 120 days! That's so long, right!
I know you said you had a lot of rain lately but everything looks dry to me. Maybe it’s just showing up like that on camera. Nice progress!
Liquid Fertilizer every week !
Looking beautiful!!!!
Love Love Love it Jamerrill!!! Thank you for sharing, so inspirational and I cant wait to watch your progress 🙂
