Total War: Warhammer is part of Creative Assembly’s grand strategy Total War series. Set in the grim, high fantasy world of Warhammer Fantasy, Total War: Warhammer pits many unique races in a struggle for domination of the Old World. Soldiers clash with magic and monsters, as factions are locked in battle. But beyond this conflict lurks a larger threat: The forces of Chaos descend from the north to bring ruin and destruction, at the behest of their dark gods.

Total War: Warhammer II takes the battle to the New World across the sea, where new races fight to enact rituals and control the Great Vortex. Total War: Warhammer II is a standalone game, fully playable on its own. However, players who own the first game or DLC will find that it carries over and can be combined with the second game, for one epic experience in campaign and multiplayer among us.

Both games can be purchased in a number of stores, but require a Steam account to play.

  1. An interesting note is that in general the Vampire recruitment is weird.

I would argue for free recruitment but with unit caps dictated by structures and Lord perks. They would make up for this with both the raise dead Mechanic and having an economy more reliant on cycling out damaged units.

Also it would allow for unique units from magic resistant Dwarf skeletons to horrifying Zombie Dread Saurians.

In general CA should lean more towards medieval 2's mechanics than Warhammer's more arcade like predecessors.

Lizardmen could have spawnings that give them loads of cheap units, but also have abysmal regeneration for these units since they can't get more until the next spawning.

Meanwhile Elves could have long recruitment times for most of their roster offset by even their weakest units being high quality warriors.

  2. Vlad with his army of Veteran Grave Guard, well paid Sylvanian State Troopers, Elite Blood Dragons, and a complete disregard for his economic situation cause he's just that much of a badass: "Pathetic"

  3. I don't like this because it takes away a very real advantage the undead had. Tactically speaking. It also doesn't feel lore friendly. My understanding is that while a necromancer can raise the dead, the number of undead they can have at one time is limited by there own power level. Maybe undead could be free but with an undead unit cap that grows along with the given lord.
As long as we now have permission to overthink this crap, why don't living armies have food upkeep? The skaven aren't the only ones who have to eat. Also, why don't living armies have natural disease attrition? No army in the history of the world was free of disease. That's just what happens when you gather that many people and animals in one place. They get sick and hungry. I'll tell you why it's not there, because it wouldn't be fun. Don't overthink this crap. Just give us a fun toy to play with and leave us alone.

  4. To be honest I don’t minus changed that much because I never had a reason to use zombies before because if I needed a Free unit to hold the line as a meat shield skeletons with normally outperform zombies in the circumstances but now that’s gonna have to come with a bit of a cost and zombies will still be free which can make their meet meat shildness a little bit more pronounced I guess. I don’t know either way I like to change and the video ❤️
