We tried giving to both ps5 and Xbox and we were successful 😁
I had trouble with PC. From the no mans sky store page, i could not claim the new ship, steam just kept starting the game. I had to go to the new ship store page after searching for the new ship by name , The ship itself has its own store page.

I'm on Steam (PC) and I've clicked the "Add to Account" buttonn on the website, it launches the game. I go to the Anomaly and go to the Quicksilver dudebut I don't get the 5 menu items, only the normal 3 options. 🙁 No Phoenix for me :((
I dropped Elite Dangerous because they started to concentrate on PC only before full dropping console, that didn't work out well for frontier as lots of other players left too, and like me stopped buying games from the studio. I hope this isn't the start of hello games pulling the same stunt. More platforms= more income, favouriting one platform upsets players and causes division. I hope to see hello games roll this gift out to the other platforms over the Christmas period

Figured out the issue: don't click the "Add to Account" button. Click the "Starborn Phoenix Ship". Then when that page loads, click to add downloadable content. Doesn't 'seem' to do anything, then start the game and go to quicksilver merchant.
I think the racing livery is a Nod to the racing game Wipeout
I've set NMS behind me for a while, the new update for Towers Of A. is really good; the dung collector update would be a nice name for it 🤣

That is why PC is indeed the master race 😂
We know the ship is in the build for all platforms, (to enable cross play between consoles and PC). It is good of Ricey and Good Guys to work their magic with ship trading in multiplayer to allow console players to use it, even if they don't have a Steam account. I know that it is tricky and the TIMING is crucial because during the swap, it can fly away and be lost to both host AND guest. The host can have many copies, it is just a matter of the hassle of trying again. Those two, (and probably others) deserve praise for their efforts!
You can't just meet up and "exchange" ships?
So, unless this giveaway gets to consoles, the Switch player will never get this ship. 😔
I was bumbed about the ship sure but the real heartbreaking news was the lack of light no fire updates at the game awards!
not race the north star every traveller and sailor uses as the true north to know where you are a guide point, the idea guide is the north star, i learned that from Captain Mark in Manchester Washington State 1980, back then he was a sailor for 50 years.
im going to wait til it legitly comes out to ps4 and 5 don't want a unwanted crash, but as i said earlier every true traveller knows the ideal true way to find your way is to look for the North Star to get home.

How to get your Starborn Phoenix on other platforms:
1. Make sure that "Cloud Saves are enable"
2. Load up NMS via Steam
3. Claim the ship from the Quicksilver Companion (verify you have the ship)
4. Save the game
5. While still in NMS on Steam, load a cloud save from your console
6. Claim the ship from the Quicksilver Companion (verify you have the ship)
I did link with steam and PSN with out owning PC version , nomanssky said cross play successful how ever beta cross save was full too , I think so long as you have the phoenix star runner permanently add to your library on you steam or twitch account you will still be able to claim it with future update to cross play beta .
