No Man's Sky Ship Ownership Customisation Idea Captain Steve NMS Ideas Make Cut And Shuts

No Man’s Sky Ship Ownership Customisation Idea Captain Steve NMS Ideas – Thinking if you can only use the parts and colours of the ships you have in your fleet it wont be so overpowered and wont upset ship hunters. And this cut and shut ship could then be added to the spawn pools for the player base to find. Would be great for making a squad with your friends or having a Hub unique ship. #NoMansSky #nomansskyideas #ncaptainsteve

  1. Your ideas not bad and I like some of your Photoshop pictures especially the fighter with the shuttle wings. In my opinion the best way would not allow regular ships to be made. Example no fighter Parts can go to Fighters Explorer parts on explorers. That way you would not ruin the hunting aspect and take away from the vanilla ships.

  2. Before you even start this, I think that the ships are NMS best selling point for the game! They really need to start putting meat on the bone to this game. I’ve only been playing for about 4 weeks and I don’t really feel like there’s anything to really sink you’re teeth into. Ship customisation and a proper navigation system would be amazeballs imho. I appreciate others may see things differently but that is my opinion. πŸ™‚

  3. Love your idea about having the freighter play an important role on the customisable options. I wasn’t onboard prior to the latest expansion so, I didn’t know the yellow cranes were an addition.
How about ship tattoos? Colour options or faction tattoos via rep rewards from certain factions? So you represent them in game?
NMS ship design competitions held on forums?

  4. My idea would be that we have a shipyard and we get ship parts by scrapping ships. Each part is stored in the shipyard and can only be used once. If you want to go one step further we could also use the ship yard to customise ground vehicles as well if HG shoved a load of vehicle parts into the game as well.

  5. I like the idea of ship customization, and I think that it could be moved to freighter customization as well. I'd like to see a procedurally generated mission where instead of just getting a freighter, you go about securing parts from derelicts to create your own style. Still have premade ones, but the chance to create is a strong selling feature in NMS, and folks were very excited about it when they saw that feature in Starfield

  6. I think planets and ships really need to be focused on. We have a variety of different planets, but now we need a variety of different plants, animals, minerals and terrain on planets. And ships still should have customization.

One more thing, NPCs. They need to be more lively. Doing things as small as fidgeting with a knife or toys, or as big as a brawl.

  7. I disagree in my opinion ship hunting is a massive part of the game and the thing which players spend most time using, if it was custom then hunting and rare finds would be meaningless no man's sky does have many gameplay elements but not enough to replace the hunting experience

  8. Planet customization! What do you think of them adding the same kind of overhaul for Flora as they did fauna? Imagine being able to resequence seeds for size and color and then plant them on your world to change the world's localized Flora? You'd still need to find each flora and harvest them for seeds to sequence. And while they are at it, allow us to change the world fauna with eggs we've made. There could be a multiplier to change the size of the area it will grow to cover. Maybe you'd have to do it 10 or 20 times in different areas on the planet to encompass the entire planet? This would make it so people could really customize the look of their home planet. For instance my planet is absolutely perfect, but I'd love some glowing plants at night to compliment the glowing grass. Maybe add some cool Diplo's I found other places and add some kind of sharks to the oceans

  9. If it comes to NMS, this is how I think it will work. All ship will now be broken down into separate parts. Is you demolish a ship at a station, you can choose a ship part you can keep. It will be like a module that you would have to install in your ship (probably in a new inventory section labeled parts)

  10. #1 I hope update 4.0 fixes the constant multiplayer crashing.
#2 Space Junk yards. to sell your parts to players.
#3 parts need to take real effort to build.
#4 Space Ship Dealerships for talented ship builders. Who will be the best ship builders and mechanics in the galaxy? Selling Custom ships to players.
#4 Private Space Diners to sell Space omelets with my space eggs.

  11. Cap I love that idea πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ although they need to make us work for it like 20k activated resources or end game crafting items and you can only use parts from same class types? I.E s class for s class et….?

  12. How bout a ship auction house where you can sell your custom ships. And you have to still ship hunt to get parts for customizing so the ship hunters are still able to ship hunt. Maybe you can auction rare parts and not just a whole ship! How's that sound? 😎😎😎

  13. If nothing else, I would love to have color options for our ships like they have for freighters. That alone would be awesome. I have one ship (first I ever owned and built up from C to S class) that doesn't match my white/gold color scheme that everything else matches.

  14. I would say perhaps exclude the exotic and living ships to appease the ship collector fanbase
Perhaps allow you to trade parts blueprints with other players
Or missions you can pick up from an NCP on the freighters that will reward you with starship parts that are not available on any obtainable ship. Maybe as a nod to the ship collectors, when they do events these missions reward you with an exotic or living ship that is otherwise unobtainable like how you can unlock the ME Normandy frigate
At the very least we should have colour customisation for all ships

  15. I wonder if anyone has tried to climb the ladder in their freighter, because you can!! and there is a control box at the top. I am thinking you will be able to do something with it eventually. πŸ˜„

  16. I think we then would need torus orbital shipyards as starships needs very large facilities. Say only 1 per galaxy and a separate game space like the Space anomality, a big MMO social hub, so you can see other players ship in space docks while working on the modifications.

All players could go on a long-running expedition to build up the shipyards from scratch.

At the shipyard we could park both ships but also our larger freighters as both could be customized (freighters perhaps mostly skin customization style). It would be incredible to see other players freighter and also dock or leave with your freighter in the space dock, the animation would be epic.

You would be able to get ship parts by scrapping ships, buying parts at a market would be easier (parts should be astronomical expense and that would also consume "money" as in the game is quite easy to earn). Perhaps both money and nanites would be required.

Fuel could be traded and bought by NPCs and perhaps player to could sell to. Also quicksilver items of course.

A local player driven market, build and later selling and buying parts or trading part for part. Players could also provide raw resources to the market.

Large industrial, refiner style, could also build the ship parts. So we would need a large set of new blueprints in game and we would have to search for them, like weapons lockers around the galaxy. Also the industrial refiner will use a large amount resources and energy and we would have to search for them on planets like a Nexus mission.

In a dark corner some black market parts of course (they could be of better quality or lesser quality and you would take a chance) Guarantees? What is that πŸ˜‰

  17. I'm 99% sure customization of any existing ship arc type is not going to happen. Hello Games appears to be firmly in the "ship hunting and coordinate sharing is a core game mechanic" camp.

If they did do anything customization it would have to be swapping parts within an arc type. Base on my understanding of how ship models works mixing parts from different arc types is not feasible.
