With Starfield out I kind of expected that to suck away some of NMS players but I also don't know much about starfield so maybe it's different enough. Or has it flopped? Regardless, it's cool to see you guys try it out. Hoping to do some NMS at our next LAN party.
This game has lots of things to do. Play your own way at your own pace. Works for me.

To anyone starting the game: Please, please, please avoid "normal" at all cost. Sure, No Man's Sky is to be experienced first and foremost (and to that extent also don't rob yourself of the experience by playing third person – the point of the game is to vow you with its scale and to provide the greatest immersion ever, that can't be achieved with playing in 3rd person), but there is also a great game beneath that as well, it only reveals itself to you, however, if you play it Custom – with all sliders to max difficulty. Playing it on normal to experience its gameplay is pointless as this game's "normal" is equivalent to hyper ultra very easy on any other game.
