I think it’s a bit dishonest to say that the issue was people wanting too much out of the game, the fact of the matter is that Peter Molyneux flat out lied about the content of the game on release. It was supposed to be an endless galaxy where you could interact with other players but it could take years before anyone found each other, when in reality, after 24 hours players got to each others locations and they just flat weren’t rendered on each others screens. The game for sure has gotten a lot better overtime, but, it has left a sour taste in a lot of people’s mouths over the straight false advertisement that was going on, though, Peter Molyneux does have a history of blowing things out of proportion and lying about content, he’s done it for years
