  1. Hey Tom, maybe you could actually show the quarterly invoice from Disney for the tickets?

Disney even charged the district to make up for "discounts" used by the RCID employees!

Exactly $26,312.88 for combined "discount" usage just in the released quarterly invoice.

  2. Tokyo gets a Rapunzel mini-land with a 5 min. boat ride … meanwhile WDS Paris gets a Rapunzel puddle of water with a Tangled version of the Tea Cups attraction. That's just sad 😞

  3. Hey Tom, do the government employees around Universal and Sea World get free annual passes there? According to you it sounds like this is a common “benefit” at all these them park districts.

  4. You forgot to mention that the passes where against FL law and had to be stopped once discovered or the board could also be charged with the crime. You need to cover the whole story! And IMO it was just another way for Disney to make a buck by selling the passes to RCID. 2.5 million dollars a year.

  5. You are looking at this as if any employee or board members of RCID were Disney employees, they were not, they were government employees. The FL AG is looking into this as a possible criminal charge because that was a LOT of money, not just going to fire fighters and such but to board members as well. RCID is a government entity, they issue tax free gov. bonds, they are gov. by ALL of the state laws over state gov. and this whole thing was a HUGE no-no but just shows how Disney just treated RCID as their own fiefdom, which is completely illegal.

  6. Republicans truly hate Americans and more so first responders. Republicans have destroyed Florida and their next goal is to destroy all of America. Why can't republicans just move to russia to be where their ideology is common place. Please republicans, stop trying to make Florida New russia!!!!

  7. Im hoping to go to TDLR late May next year. The way I see it is, if I get to see Fantasy Springs, then that’s awesome, but, if for some reason it’s not open in time, it will be better because my thinking is that most people will want to push their trip back until it opens, meaning, the park will be less crowded, the closer it gets to the lands opening date. So, win win.

  8. Fact: the free passes for the RCID were actually illegal because they were purchased with government funds without competitive bid and to a sole business. Thats why they now get money to purchase a pass, if they even want one.

  9. The RCID employees are government workers and cannot by law accept any gift over $25. Also these tickets were bought with money from taxes. Even though most of the taxes are paid by Disney, they don’t pay them all. RCID is attempting to keep this benefit by giving the employees cash to spend it on whatever they want. They did an audit of the passes and the highest % ever used was less than 70%. On average the usage was in near 45%. So most are given a pass and get no use out of it. Now they can.

  10. Does the Reedy Creek situation also take away the passes for all of the third party operators at Disney Springs since they aren't technically "Cast Members"?

  11. The Fantasia rock work is just the tip of the iceberg (rockberg?). The entire land is full of rock work in the shape of Disney characters. Think Tree of Life but with Disney characters, and spread out across the land.

  12. All the comments with their panties in a bunch. This pass was a perk for decades and now, according to comments, is HIGHLY ILLEGAL? Who knew providing an annual pass to employees is the worst thing to happen in this state. Except it wasnt illegal. Per the board, they gave multiple reasons why they removed including low usage and unfair to smaller families and preference to a business. One of them mentioned it could be illegal, but since its been working into the budget (from what i could find) since 2004, i doubt it was. Theyre just looking for a way to cut the budget and blame it on legality like the comments are who love daddy DeSantis.

  13. So, did anyone notice that behind the Marvel characters, there was a screen saying *Miracles from Molecules*? That was the theme song from Adventure Thru Inner Space at Disneyland. I wonder what the connection is there?

  14. I’m making gumbo right now in my home 20 minutes from the ocean in Lower Alabama. None of those pictures look like any gumbo I’ve ever made or eaten from here to Houston. Bless their hearts, though, they’re way over on the left coast. They’re doing their best.

I'm so confused why Ron Desantos is going to be president if he wins and Joe Biden losing I'm going to laugh so hard on the top of my lungs because in my opinion I love Joe Biden and I just hope he wins but it is also hilarious on how he is escaping these law Suits against Disney so he can a presidential nominee

  17. Tom, Have you ever heard the term stay i your lane?
Every time you try and report on Disney's legal issues you never seem to have done any research and have zero knowledge about the laws in Florida.
Doing real news takes a lot of time and research you can't just read a press release from Disney and call it a day because with real news there is more then one side and a lot of complexity.

So if you can't report on all sides (whether you agree or not) of a real news story then STAY IN YOUR LANE and report about new rides, costume characters and overpriced merch.
We already have enough fake news in the world we don't need more.
