Night Market in Jeju Island, Seogwipo | South Korea

For this week’s video we visit Seogwipo Olle Market on Jeju Island. There’s so much food to try and lots of shops to check out.

One of the restaurants we went to that we mention in this video is called Olos/Orot. They had a delicious abalone bowl. Highly recommend checking that out if you also go to Jeju Island.

  1. Totally agree regarding rinsing all sea food in fresh water. I always take home 20 to 40 litres of seawater, depending on how much I catch.
By the way, in NZ, we call them horse mussels.

  2. i always get into this discussion when my parents order sea cucumber or sea squirt in the states…koreans dont know why they order those sea animals besides it being expensive or harder to get especially when they just dose it in pepper paste…i dont get it it doesnt taste good and if you eat it "fresh" you dont taste anything

  3. That “scallop” thing is pen shell. You can think of it more like a clam and it has a firmer texture because you’re eating the abductor muscle part. Generally more fibrous and firm than your typical scallop.
