Nigel Farage hits back at Putin jibe amid election campaign

Nigel Farage has hit back at Boris Johnson after the former prime minister accused the Reform UK leader of a โ€œmorally repugnantโ€ repetition of Russian President Vladimir Putinโ€™s justification for the invasion of Ukraine.

  1. you forgot that at the end of 2021, Putin wrote a letter to the United States with a proposal to agree on security principles. we all laughed in Russia: "a stupid ultimatum that will not be implemented." The United States responded to Putin's letter in the key of it's none of your damn business what and how we will do with Ukraine and NATO. In Russia, we were all laughing again: "Well, you got a punch in the face! What are you going to do now? You're not going to start a war!" And he started it! Of course, we were all in shock and no one believed it. but does this negate the fact that the war was provoked by the refusal of the United States to take into account Russia's security interests and conduct a dialogue?
