NFL Week 6 Recap: NFC North dominates + Ravens top O in NFL? | Chris Simms Unbuttoned (FULL Ep. 650)

In a week where plenty of road favorites came through, Chris finally feels like the NFL is starting to make sense. The Lions, Packers, and Bears flexed their muscle in perhaps the best division in the NFL, and Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense outpaced rookie Jayden Daniels. But back from his trip to Ohio State-Oregon, did Ahmed forget the SNF jingle? #NFL #ChrisSimmsUnbuttoned #nbcsports

  1. The only thing I disagree with was the analysis of the NFC north when someone said "It's not that they have easy schedules." Don't know about the rest but the Bears have DEFINITELY had a weak schedule.

We'll find out what the Bears have when they play 6 games in their division in a row coming up. Either they show something then or They Are Who We Thought They Were.

  2. I remember a year or two ago everyone was saying how much better the AFC quarterbacks were than NFC but now with Daniels, Love and Williams playing so well it’s starting to balance things out

  3. Chicago beat Tennessee, Jacksonville, and Carolina. Those teams are butt cheeks. Pump the brakes, dude. You think Cincinnati is going to the Super Bowl? There's no wonder why you can't spell "their." Your takes aren't very good.

  4. You can really see that Sims only liked Fields to be a contrarian cause the switch up on him has been quick. Pickens dropped 3 more passes today which would’ve given Fields well over 250 yards total yards and 3 TDs. Fields is hiding a ton of issues the Steelers have.

  5. best pod for me , sadly as a Titans fans we have to endure Levis every sunday . i’d love to know if you guys would agree that the reason that Callahan calls the game so conservatively is because he can’t trust Levis ( prior weeks with multiple TOs ) & Levis should have had 2 INTs today as well

  6. Everybody when the Bears are 4-2 “they’ve played a weak schedule!”
Meanwhile before basically every game those very same opposing fan bases and even the media were picking those teams to win. Now the Jags are bad but go to Grossi’s channel, all these dudes in the comments and even Grossi himself and other media pundits picked Jacksonville. People thought the Panthers with Dalton would give the Bears a run for their money. And EVERYBODY was picking the Bears to lose to the Rams who had just came back and beat SF the week prior. Don’t wanna hear the whining about the schedule.

  7. Lions Oline is probably the best in the league. They make good rb's look like future HOF. The passing game is maybe overachieving a little because of that line and the Cowboys D is a dumpster fire right now. Will/Can they make a trade before the deadline to soften the Hutch injury impact? Vikes are on the horizon and they are good! If Aaron Jones is healthy, that offense is very hard to defend.

  8. That humiliation in Jerry World wasn't just revenge for least season. It was also revenge for their playoff matchup in 2014. The Lions outplayed the Cowboys but got absolutely hosed by a pass interference no-call in that game. The referees threw the flag for PI then reversed the call for no reason. They also failed to call unsportsmanlike conduct on Dez Bryant when he ran onto the field to complain without his helmet on. It was a travesty on the level of the Saints/Rams missed PI call in 2018 and I'm surprised nobody remembers it. This beatdown was 10 years in the making.

  9. The defensive penalties were absolutely backbreaking. You could definitely tell the offensive play calling was designed around Levis not making any idiotic mistakes and of course he decides to throw it right to the Colts DB. We couldn’t sack Flacco once? That game was an absolute embarrassment. I’m done with Levis.

  10. Can we stop putting Allen in the same conversation as Mahomes? He’s shown us over and over that he actually can’t make the smart play at the right time. So stop doing that, please 🙏

  11. just wondering if you could do a breakdown on why Bo Nix is struggling so much. I feels like the offence is too vanilla with no aggression down field, but also that Bo is playing poorly. I can't tell what is the real problem. I Payton to blame? Did the NFL pass him by?

  12. So I have an odd question: what is up with the special teams play going on this season? Kickers are missing field goals it seems like way more than recent years. Is there a change in a kicker’s practice reps with the kickoff being a revitalized play?

Love the pod fellas, great work as always!

  13. God Ahmed just never quits with the stupid lame predictable unfunny jokes. It’s just incessant. Simms is the funny one. Not Ahmed. Not in a million years. No one ever thought the teachers pet was funny. That’s not how the world works
