  1. Hutch has been the opposite of HIM. Aside from three fluke/schemed sack plays. He gets blanked by Average-or-better NFL tackles. That elite cone time hasn't shown up one bit. In fact, he looks completely gassed in these games due to his high effort on every down. That pick is already not looking like a good selection. Not a bust. But not a #2 pick.

  2. I agree I do not like the AL Michaels Kirk Herbie commentary. I feel like it exposes Kirk's flaws a lot. Sometimes he talks and I'm like dude do you actually know anything about football or what?

  3. The bengals defense has played great this year so far. But they have played the Steelers, Cowboys (without Dak) and the Jets (with Flacco). They could still be really good. But looking at those three games and making definitive statements seems a little rushed.

  4. Mike seems to be getting better and better with the (mostly) solo pod. Quinn's good when he chimes in and would like if he did more because I prefer podcasts that have more of a conversational feel, but I get that he's also producing it so it's probably not so easy to do everything together.

  5. I think you aren't looking at this Commander's team deeply enough. This Offensive Line is dragging everything down over the last 2 weeks.
Last week, their inability to sustain a drive completely drained our already thin d-line before the half.
This week they sold out whole stock, horrible Pass Protection, giving up instant pressure, but worst of all was Schweitzers snapping, which kept Carson Wentz constantly guessing and having to find the ball snap after snap. That completely destroyed any chance to get any kind of read on the defense to get the quick game going.
Carson Wentz has talent, this offense is full of talented weapons, This defense has some players stepping up, and honestly looked really good in this game.
Basically, our whole defensive draft from last year has looked good this season, especially in this game. With Ben St Juste, Darrick Forrest, Jamin Davis, and Shaka Toney taking steps up in this game. We lost our 2nd- round NT for the season but stole a high-potential player in Dallas's 5th-round DT John Ridgeway. and we will have Chase Young and Brian Robinson back by week 5. We showed what we could do offensively in week one, but we've taken some blows to the O-line that have completely crippled the offense. Wes Schweitzer having to move over to Center after Chase Roullier went down was massive.
Not having Schweitzer at RG hurts enough, but his horrible snapping was a huge part of the complete offense shutdown this week.
You gotta give the defense some credit, if the ref had eyes in his head, or Ron Rivera got the challenge flag in time,
Philly loses Smith's 45-yard non-catch, ending that drive instead of keeping a thin defense on the field to give up 30 more yards and a TD.
If Ron throws that flag we are easily looking at a game where the defense gave up only 255 yards passing, 70-yards rushing, and only 17-points,
really just leaving the offense 15 points to overcome after the safety.
Instead of what ended up being the final tally
Not saying the offense would have overcome even in that situation, but it clearly wasn't a catch and if it had been called correctly the game would have been massively different
The defense played well, holding one of the most dangerous rushing offenses in the league to 75-yards and holding Jalen Hurts to 2 yards a carry.

They made Philly completely 1-dimensional, and things should have been a lot closer than they appear.
Philly and Detroit are both super talented teams, and I know moral victories don't count for shit, but Washington has shown a lot more this season than anyone is giving them credit for.

  6. The NFL's rules regarding what constitutes a "catch" are deliberately vague so that they can control the outcomes of games. It's kinda suspicious how often officiating has been the topic of controversy during Goodell's time as Commissioner…
For-Profit Bussiness and Legalized Gambling stand to make a lot of money by working together. Goodell prefers selling storylines to selling the game of Football…smh
