Directed by Academy Award Winner Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit, Thor: Ragnarok), NEXT GOAL WINS follows the American Samoa soccer team, infamous for their brutal 31-0 FIFA loss in 2001. With the World Cup Qualifiers approaching, the team hires down-on-his-luck, maverick coach Thomas Rongen (Michael Fassbender) hoping he will turn the worldโ€™s worst soccer team around in this heartfelt underdog comedy.

  4. It's weird how he made one movie people didn't respond to and everyone has been down his throat about him as a creative (when said movie was certainly his most studio-input-heavy work). That's a convo people can have if this sucks, but I rly don't reckon it will, looks great

  8. Itโ€™s been too damn long since weโ€™ve seen Michael Fassbender, easily become one of my fav actors, he excels at roles even in shit films. Him and James McAvoy singlehandedly carried the young X-Men movies. Glad to see him doing comedy again too, and heโ€™s even playing a dude from my country, though he def just has an Irish accent lol. I mean Fassbender can act opposite himself and be entertaining I canโ€™t wait to see him in this and The Killer.

    1. Taika Waititi has, as far as I can see, not really been 'off' form.
    2. Why am I able to watch a trailer for a film, that I'd like to see, six months before I can?
