  1. All these monster taming games going 3D and across multiple platforms has me excited for the future for the genre! I always felt like we relied on Pokemon way too much but great seeing a generation grow up and say "I could do it better." and deliver on it multiple times is great. I don't hate pokemon but damn they got stale a decade ago with their development team, time for some new blood to shake it up!

  2. Swearing to never buy an Official Pokemon Video Game has been one of the easiest Oaths to ever take thanks to Nexomon.
This is what Monster Taming is supposed to look like. Thanks once again for the news Ed!

  3. I’m loving the Hilda and Solus statues! I really hope we get commemorations/Easter eggs of other characters too. Like how Lydia said her spirit would live on through the dragons and how Lobo’s Legion was going to expand affiliations with Solus, just to name a couple examples. I’m more excited for how the story builds on that of the previous games than anything else. Especially for the Abyssals.

A similar quest to respawn older Nexomon akin to getting the experimental lure would be nice too. I have quite a handful of mons I’m really gonna miss if there aren’t any returning ones.

  4. For some reason, the first 2 games just never could draw me in. I bought them with the thought I'd play them since I did like Pokémon, TemTem, Coromon, etc. a lot, but I never feel like playing the Nexomons for some reason. This third one has me excited tho. Maybe I'll actually give the first two a chance soon once I'm in the mood for video games (have been taking it easy for like 3 weeks).

  5. This is good. Let's get the genre rolling with more games like this, maybe the bigger studios will finally get the picture that they need to step up their games because if they don't innovate, others surely will.

  6. It is such a surprise to me they're going on 3D. I'm really hyped! Both Nexomon were so fun and great (like better than pkmn in my opinion).
I really hope they'll nail it and be more popular.

  7. I could honestly care less about open world or 3D. The whole point of Nexomon was the good story. I can't possibly see myself caring unless they completely overhaul the combat system to make it actually fun to play. Hopefully Nexomon is not abandoning it's identity to chase needless goal posts.

  8. 3D is a big jump in development costs. One of the big reasons a lot of indies are 2D is because of the reduced cost (in both time and money). That being said, and you mentioned this in the video, Nexomon is an established franchise with 2 existing games. On top of that, Nexomon's battle system had no additional costs to transfer to 3D. Nothing needs to be changed there to transition it to 3D outside of the graphics. The devs are certainly in a position to make this move and it's not like they could do it much worse than the Pokemon Co. has been doing. It's a little risky, but nowhere near as much as a new franchise and/or a new developer doing it.

  9. idk if dragon quest builders is your type of game, DQB2 did have a "monster friending" system so it's kinda a monster tamer. i heard there was gonna be a DQB3 a while back. does anyone have any news on that?

  10. After skipping the last couple of Pokemon gens since the games have been so disappointing, I was very happy to discover Nexomon.

Can't wait for the new title. I hope this really gives this series its worldwide breakthrough that it deserves.

  11. I do prefer the 2D ( retro ) but I'm willing to give this a try because it's honestly my favorite monster taming game. planning to want to cover content for this game no matter what just to show my love to this game.
