  1. Hey Tom, great stream tonight. I know it’s hard keeping up with the chats but re: YouTube shorts…my understanding is monetized content creators are strongly encouraged to make the shorts so the algorithm will promote their content. I don’t think ads are part of it yet (they’re usually limited to under 60 seconds) but I have YouTube Premium so I don’t see ads anyway.

  2. I personally don’t want a cashless society. I think about people who don’t use the internet to get access to their bank accounts or cards. Also kids who want to have little stores, or save up money in a piggy bank. Maybe it’s about nostalgia. And what about the people who get paid in cash? Or like emergencies when you have no access to your bank. Some people rather not use banks at all. Idk just some things to think about… I think using my phone would be annoying because then I have to make sure I have internet access, enough phone charge… etc etc. People already have a hard enough time trying to stop cyber scams… Many rural places would struggle as their internet connection wouldn’t be great. I’ve had enough times where my bank company would go under cyber attack and I wouldn’t be able to get money out. A lot of restaurants and hotels pay cash to their employees too…
