Hello everyone, my name is Founder and in this video I’ll be helping you in New World find the elusive Rivercress stems and Fronded Petalcaps. They’re both required to have in order to proceed in the main quest line. This makes them that much more important to gather early on.

Starting with Rivercress Stems:
Found in its natural environment near literally any body of water, it seamlessly goes unseen until you get the main-quest, Weakness of the Ego. Now with the goal of gathering some, let’s dive into the territory of Windsward. This area is a clear winner of where to find both Rivercress Stems and Fronded Petalcaps in abundance. To narrow things down further here is exactly where I go to farm Rivercress at. The Northwest of Fort Windsward is highly concentrated with this plant, which spawns every 10 meters or so near water in this area. Casually running back and forth around the river bank you should find plenty in no time. In my experience this area should avoid having heavy farming traffic from other players being as isolated as it is from main roads. Conveniently there sits a fast travel point right beside this hotspot, so if you have it discovered this’ll save some valuable travel time.

Now as for finding Fronded Petalcaps, they’re located in abundance around the settlement of Windsward. Be that as it may, they’re still hard to find without knowing what to look for. Petalcaps look like a green, spiny bush. So they blend in quite easily in the lush environment they spawn in. The border between Windsward and FirstLight happens to be perfect for farming Petalcaps. You might run into some other farmers but following the red line in the video will give you all the Petalcaps you’ll ever need.

As an added tip, not only will people be hunting Rivercress and Petalcaps for the main-quest, they’ll also be hoarding it to sell on the market for some excellent scummy profit, cough, hint hint.
