New World December Public Test Relm (PTR) patch 1.2 new changes coming for gypsum orbs, expertise high watermark system, new perks, holiday gold presents, & trade skill aptitude reward chests. Several perks have adjusted values to balance the game a bit more with weapons and armor! A new Diamond Gypsum is introduced into the game for holiday events! The Tree of Light in each town is giving gold and trade skill materials on a daily cooldown! Topaz attunement potion cooldown lowered and materials required. Gypsum Orb and Cast cooldowns suppose to be lowered from 22h to 18h but not currently reflected on the PTR. Gypsum Orb craft costs reduced massively! Expertise now has a min and max value from gear score bumps!

I forgot to add that yes the Gypsum craft cost has be reduce to about 5 gold lol so its basically free!

what happens when using a cast on a maxed expertise slot, do we get better loot?
really wasn't expecting to get those boxes of gathering / refining. that's a cool change.
lets say my WM for bow right now is 550, If I grind my expertise up to 600 on bow, then go do lazarus, am I then eligble for a 600 bow drop?
Damn i bought hundreds of those animals, still prices will increase for sure but not much. Another business tactic blew on my face..

how long did it take to get the T1 aptitude box?
How much arcane level are needed for animal potion?
I have to admit I'm impressed. From the bonfire of a week ago things have improved.

Anyone knows how much XP is needed for the aptitude boxes fro crafting ?
The games broken again after last nights update. Server can’t gather, chests are completly gone.

I think there is something very important to say about the gypsum per day from aptitude caches: The event of getting the gypsum should be tied to opening one of these boxes, because if you have a lot of mats, you can not craft for caches now. You actually have to hold on to all your mats and craft a little each day. This is a storage nightmare.

Just open up the fucking dungeon and thats it all we needed. Well done AGS blocking 90% population with the stupid watermark and orbs crafting system.
How difficult is it to hit the crafting/gathering marks once your 200? Its already a pain to get them to 200, is it like doing level 199-200 all over again?
Extremely informative! Thank you. It seems that the new meta for perfect gathering tools will be XP, yield and luck since we are going to get so many vials of azoth from just about everything. Also, i am curious to see if we can improve the gathering tools gear score with gypsum.
is the aptitude thing also something you can do daily?

What if you have everything but amulet maxed out to 600. Then when you run a dungeon will each boss drop an amulet upgrade?
Check the furnishing boxes. Some say it give Trophies materials.
Are the epic rarity tools just something found only in the PTR or will they be craftable in game? do they have an extra perk compared to the rare tools we have on live currently?
