Hey guys, thought we could have a look at what's to come this month. Have to admit some of it confused me a lot! I always try to be positive, because I love this game, but pay close attention.. some stuff in here is confusing. I love the game and plan to stick with it for a long time still, I just hope this one goes well! Anyway, let me know what you think!
In 5 years time New World might be a super nice MMO. With lots of monster types, points of interests will actually have purpose, traveling won't be a pain, PvP and PvE incentives are well balanced, End game isn't solely boring number grind etc.
If the devs don't give up, they got soemthing good to work with. Hopefully they don't go down the wrong path of making everything harder, introduce cash shops with high convenience items (ex travel rock subscriptions from maplestory) etc etc.
I will for sure revisit this game in a year or so when they figure out what they want to do other than waste my time.
They must realize that buying 580+ gear for 100 coin breaks their ridiculous watermark system so now they are forcing people to grind it out as yet another way to artificially extend the life of the game. This will KILL any desire for players who left to come back as they are now way behind the curve and have no way to catch up.
As someone who burned all my time on crafting skills and hasn't done much watermark this is pretty deflating. So now my 589-600 armor and arcana crafts are trash for me because my watermarks are all 515-530.
It doesn't kill crafting. It's arguably worse as it kills the crafter. You can still be craft bitch and craft high GS gear for those who spent all their time farming WM. But you will forever be just a craft bitch because your GS will always lag.
wtf with AGS re-working things instead of tweaking, balancing. As a proud owner of full voidbent set that I did farmed and crafted all by myself with no help from company or TP- I find this info concerning.

I get the impression many AGS game design/dev departments do not talk to each other. So many contradictory features and design principles.
What if you craft 600 '-'c.. It will be "520" lol. My bad, sent this before you mentioned it. xD… Yeah, that's quite ridiculous.

So if you work hard to be able to craft very high level gear, you wont be able to sell it, or even use it yourself to improve your setup. People wont want to buy things they wont be able to take advantage of. So crafting is useless, either to sell or use yourself. Shame !!
Man it kinda hurts that they add new stuff but hey, you have to go do this other thing to be able to use it

Hey man, been watching your vids for a while, and your positivity has always been so good. This video I saw a (very justified) crack in that. These sorts of changes might really push players away from a lot of the game. I gave up after realising that they thought gathering should make you fodder for people looking to PK. I feel like during their development they would change A LOT of things all of the time which is really cool. But they are changing things so often in such a punishing way that its becoming tedious for us all. Keep up the great content man will follow you and your soothing voice regardless! Cheers!
i wasted 50,000+ gold on crafted gear. If i knew this was coming i would've never done that. this update makes me sad
Jesus christ I quit for a month and thought "Yes! They will fix shit and bring new content" nope made it worse. All this money and I haven't a fucking clue with the direction these devs are going down. Schizophrenics are more predictable at this rate compared to AGS
It's a shit system like u have to go and do pve and do some shit I hate this game they not fixing the PvP lag and weapon switching they doing some shit everytime
well i for one am glad i didnt grind out that voidbent armour, F for all that did.
The forums in this game are complete cancer. They just fixed the endgame including crafting. The only thing that sucks is the temporary decrease in power
