Finally got a chance to test ALL the gems with the Great Axe and come to some conclusions! It will change depending on your playstyle/build or if you do PvP or PvE, so make you know what they all do and how it affects your build in New World!

Wouldn’t you need to test the elemental gems against mobs weak against that element to see the real benefit? Be interesting to see what a ruby gem would do against one of them there treefolk.
One Shot Bow build would be fun to see with that enemy at 100% gem
So Emerald is good in PvE Boss battles etc.

Slightly off-topic, but kinda relevant.: If I put one of the intelligence gems into a lifestaff and my build is intel based, will the heals be affected or just damage? I keep reading two different answers from multiple threads etc.
though when it comes to the tier of gems ive heard tier 2 gems do more then tier 4 have you tested anything on this?
