Is New World Worth It? That is the question of many potential players. In this video, I will be breaking down the leveling system, combat, PvP, housing, server Issues, and much more. I will create additional videos to further examine the War Feature as well as Outpost Rush. I neglected to include them in this video, as I did not want to burn out too quickly. Additionally, I follow up this video with any additional content that is released in a future update. As always, this is just my opinion, and I encourage all of you to do your research. Thank you so much for your time!

  1. Iv been having a good time I will say the leveling experience is dry. But I keep PvP on all day and that keeps it someone fun lol … If you get past some of the bugs iv been enjoying the PvP that's about it … but its enough to keep me playing for now ! They have a good base to build on

*Edit made this comment pre watching lol but seems like we have the same opinion on pretty much everything !

  2. Despite having problems and needing to improve, I'm really enjoying the game. I can do what I want and I'm always evolving something. I don't feel the need to log in every day because I'm losing progression, I join the game because I want to play. for me 8/10

  3. I'd say this game has more of a classic-RuneScape-in-2021 feel. I played RS just before vanilla WoW was a thing and remember envisioning the future RS as a 12 year old and I think it looked something like New World is now. This video does a great job of telling you how NW is and what kind of player will enjoy what kind of content.
To me it IS grindy and needs improvement in places, for sure. But personally, it's brought me back to being a kid, when everything was a grind, even WoW. In WoW you quest and never visit the same place more than a couple times. Unlike New World where, like this video said, you constantly revisit places and do the exact same work. So it does leave questing to be very stale. It's what you do between that which makes the game great. You're MEANT to join your company in PvP against opposing factions. You're MEANT to gather and create. These things add to leveling big time. So one should not just simply be doing quests, alone.
I think the game is off to a fantastic start and has pretty endless potential when it comes to pretty much all things if they improve where Stoopzz mentions. I have no reason not to think Amazon will improve a lot on this game. So far they're tackling things pretty well.
Plus, with that Bezos arsenal of cash, they have the means to do it😏

  4. I'm enjoying it but don't think it's great. When I'm just out and about crafting, hunting, fishing, while listening to a podcast or something it's fun, but I can't see myself getting too deep with it.

The lack of faction balance is a killer

  5. I think the dungeons and the corrupted zones are a shining light in this game as well. There is some work that needs to be done for sure, but I've been having a great time personally. I play ranged so the collision isn't an issue for me but I can imagine that gets frustrating.

  6. I blought NW, played beta for those 2 weeks. Then requested refund and never went back after release. I believe this game has potential to be amazing MMO… in roughly 2 years. I am saving my money for 2 safe bets: Lost Ark and new Guild Wars expansion.

  7. Guys a little too harsh on the review imo. I think although quests are competitive the world is vibrant enough and the gathering is done so well that repeating quests for me isn't boring.

  8. For being called New World it brings nothing new and I expected more from Amazon. Shame they delayed Lost Ark for this, we could have already been grinding an actually fun MMO.

  9. Tanking is nearly impossible in this game. You get pushed around, glitch through the enemies, get body blocked by your own teammates and worst of all: You can't block cancel at any point in the animation. So from time to time, you either have a pure healer keeping you alive, or you have to run leaving your teammates to die.

  10. This time I 100% disagree with you my friend.
I am completely shocked that you think the PVP combat is not very deep.
The amount of skill, coordination, math skills, and response/aim time is insane.

In comparison WoW PVP is a like a children game (and I hit Glad multiple times throughout the years).
I have no doubt in my mind that you will change your opinion if you’ll keep playing.

Also they are going to add Arena.
