The Varangian Knights oddly seem like a really heavy For Honor reference lmfao, the last line the relevant quest NPC says mentions that you're "More of a wolf" than they are, or something along those lines, which is no doubt a reference to Apollyon's whole wolves thing, and the Varangian voices through their armor sound almost exactly like the knights in For Honor, plus yellow and black is a very close color scheme to Apollyon's Blackstone Legion color scheme of orange and black. Just a few things I've noticed, but I'm sure there's a few more links to be found somewhere.

  2. All the exploits, nerfs and finally when I was banned by the war report exploit I quit. It's neat you're trying but I'm not coming back. The ban. Yes it was a temp one, but no thanks. Without the ban I wouldnt have found FF14 though which is really good.

    In before the rabid fanbase flocks to "good riddance" as their game is dying around them. The fan base is exactly like the fallout 76 ones.

  3. If you're thinking about getting into the game, please consider again. I can't believe how many people are praising them for this update, sure the void gauntlet is cool, but jesus this update is a total pile of shit.

    – Weapon nerfs nobody asked for

    – Nerfing drops in elite zones and exponentially increasing the difficulty of elite mobs

    – Increasing the time, exp, and materials to level up crafting skills

    These are not technical problems, they are 'additions' some idiot decided were good decisions. The game is not going in a good direction and I highly advise against it right now. It even punishes newer players instead of making it easier, what kind of MMO does that?

  4. JOIN THOUSANDS OF PLAYERS as they struggle through broken mechanics in openworld pvp, OPR, and generally everywhere. Spend hundreds of hours farming your water mark only to realise the same amount of time can be spent farming and selling green wood to buy end game gear better then what you will find months down the road, LEARN what it makes to be on a low population server struggling to pay taxes for your city and becoming the best Spriggan body blocker the world has ever seen only to get completely squashed on wave 9, a game where everyone looks the same, male and female motion mechanics are the same, and you cant even dye your store bought skins. AETERNUM offers you the best in hairpulling animation cancelling exploits, coin and gold duping, and botting that would make Runescape AI crap spaghetti code in their digital pants… NEW WORLD… Still fun though 😀

  5. 200+ hours in. yeah nah. trash game. dead game. pvp is bad. combat is stale and boring . combat is just spam left click and win. bugs, gold and items duplications. dont waste ur time. pve is just leet farming and opening chest all day. bad game

  6. Something is seriously wrong with this game. Im almost 900 hours in(can't be that bad right?).

    Genesis, one of two end game dungeons (yes, 1 of 2, and Lazarus, the other one, has the good loot, which doesn't even become good until you grind you watermark to 600) got ninja over-tuned and was a pain in the ass and at the same time they made crafting the key for it much cheaper, but the drops from watermark grinding got heavily nerfed. They want us to spam genesis for watermark now. Wow now I get to spam an arbitrarily hard, still costly, linear dungeon with meager rewards. On our 4th run we got a 30m rollback. On our 5th run we got a 30m rollback. Then, after our second rollback, we were booted from the dungeon and thrown into a que for the dungeon we were just in. Ok, screw that, dungeons aren't worth it right now. So we went to do portals instead. Guess what? Server restart. Finally got back in game, got everyone back together and cleared some portals. About halfway through our first lap the server crashed. We logged back in and the whole zerg was dead. Run back, finish lap, call it quits. Next day; almost all portals are vanished from map, new portals are showing on the map but don't actually exist in the world; I took a portal zerg through the entire map and we only found 2 clusters where there should've been 6. I've had so much time literally wasted playing this game that it's a miracle I haven't quit. I think that's a testament to the games potential(or at least our imagination). Speaking of wasted time, about half of all weapon perks were broken upon release. Would've been nice to know spending 1,000 coin on empowered fireball was a scam a few weeks ago. Or that Arcana, the crafting profession designed for healers, wasn't working at all. I spent so much time grinding that up just to find out that I chose the only profession that couldn't yet make 600 gear score weapons, or sell my wares effectively due to market dynamics. Oh and being a healer main? Have fun soloing content while you dont have enough azoth or coin to respec your weapons. They made this easier now but still have not properly incentivized healers or made amends to the players who have been totally screwed by AGS not being honest about the situation. There is no way they play tested this game properly. We are the play test.

    AGS needs to do damage control and come totally clean. Start doing daily updates on the main page of the game, not the forums. Acknowledge all of the players frustrations individually, like, for every major bug that made people lose time from their lives, or worse, made them feel bad while playing a game they paid for, and pledge to make it right. At this point even if they fixed the lag and came to any resemblance of balance, I'm still not happy. I've lost all faith in their competency to deliver useful updates. Meanwhile players like me are getting told things like "Oh every MMO ever had a buggy launch, quit whining", by people with like 100 hours of playtime. Guys, this isn't a "buggy launch" this is an unfinished game with no major content coming down the pipeline soon. I made a prediction before the game came out that void gauntlet would only come once end-game players made it to 600 watermark. That's all the content we are getting for a while as far as I can tell. The players are being toxic to each other over what AGS has failed to do. Reporting each other for doing 'eccentric' watermark grinding, which may or may not be an exploit, we dont know because theres no forum post or update and AGS could just change the game and be done with it so we are stuck wondering am i going to get banned for farming bosses that im supposed to farm? I was willing to be patient but when I started noticing them making literally wrong and incorrect decisions I started losing hope. Giving us a little "tap my foot" emote is insulting compared to the time I've lost attempting to play a game that I paid full price for.

    It's feels like they need to bring in a hit squad of games industry bad-asses to bail them out. Fire some people for PR, and give every player A LOT of store credit for skins, hell, free amazon prime for a month so they can have some actual content to consume.

    I feel so bad for anyone who wasn't full no-life on watermark grinding before this patch. I took a break for a few days and just this week got 600 armor and 580+ weps. Can't imagine how long that'll take now with no tentacle and mega-nerfed Myrkgard.

    If the server was lag free and everything they added actually worked, we could chill out and make our own fun while we wait for content. Portal zergs are a great example, pretty much every 3rd day on my server (Themy USE) we run corrupted portals all night and its a super fun time. Lots of banter and joking around, getting swarmed by bison while you're on a wicked hard double slicer + brutal exploder portal. Its great. But the portals are all buggy and can despawn randomly if you skin something on top of them, and if you have a large group you need to coordinate very closely to make sure everyone gets credit for them… It's work for me to run these zergs because of all the bugs, im constantly telling people whats a bug and what to watch out for, remember to use unstuck if you spawn inside a treestump, etc., and with this new patch, the corruption orb knockback does lethal damage if you are downed, meaning; if you take enough damage to go down, you're probably going to die, spawn at camp (or town if camp bugs) and lose credit for the portal you were just on. It would be one thing if they told us this IN THE PATCH NOTES that the orb is lethal now, but finding out by dying and losing credit? I'm so sick of losing my time to bugs in this game or the devs ninja change stuff without telling us.

    For my friends sake, who are still somewhat enjoying the game, I try and keep to myself about how bad the bugs are. But at the same time AGS leadership can't be allowed to brush this under the rug and pretend that selling a full price game in this condition was ethical. Someone will have to explain how we got here and why, and why things got more broken instead of fixed when a patch goes from PTR to LIVE.

  7. I dont mind grinding in games if its fun, but this game is not fun. High watermark system is just stupid. Monster lacks variety, you will see the same mob again and again. Pvp is fun if its not broken from stupid weapon balancing.
