Took a break from watching as I am not a big Monster Hunter fan, but so happy to see you are making New World content. Always enjoy the vids!
Definitely a cool build, and been enjoying your game streams, even if I only watch them on YouTube. I'm messing with all the weapons. Except the rapier, just not feeling it. But I'm definitely enjoying the game. Also finally got steel tools at lvl 21 haha 😅. Took awhile, but enjoying taking the game slow like you said.

I usually play healer but similarly to you I'm not enjoying it in this game, I'm playing with a Bow and Hammer as a sort of DPS/off tank. When I'm solo hammer helps me get away with stuns and then I can switch back to bow.
Was alot of money to change to this but i dont think it was worth it, a straightforward all points Strength and all heavy with Warhammer totally destroys things, most mobs are like one combo kill.

actually if used properly the ice gloves are a good way of recovering mana, it has a few passives that give you mana, and you can get a pair with mana siphoning. You have to be accurate with the light attack though.
In my honest opinion, Wrecking Ball is the superior option over Path of Destiny. Faster cooldown and Flatten is better than the stagger from Path of Destiny. Taking it also nets you Grit on the hammer Heavies, which is pretty useful in itself.
Just something to experiment with, its a super powerfull CC ability.
The shield also doesn't apply its stats, AT ALL unless you have it drawn in your hand. So its not even a weight vs stats issue, its just flat out useless dead weight unless you also have a sword.
Its a pain because as a Tank, it makes my armor and HP fluctuate between weapon swaps.
