Making gold early on in New World is essential to a strong start, allowing you to buy a house, reap its benefits, contribute to your guild taking control of a town, buying gear upgrades when needed, the list goes on.

Fortunately there are a few quick and easy ways for you to make an insane amount of gold at launch by simply knowing some key information that will drive new players to buying from you.

First up are Petalcap – you can harvest this with any level of harvesting as long as you have a sickle and can be obtained from Fronded Petalcap, a green looking plant that is found all around the early game zones. A hotspot for these is the northern bank of the river that divides the southern border of Windsward and the northern section of First Light.

The petalcap is essential to complete the Weakness of Ego main story quest that will have every single player hunting these down to farm. If you craft your sickle as soon as possible, keep an eye out for Fronded Petalcaps or even immediately head to this spot to farm, you can list these on the trade post to make quick and easy gold from those who want to get the quest over and done with.

Next up is another plant that is required for main story quest progression, the Rivercress – this will require a harvesting skill of 30 and due to this there will be a huge amount of players unprepared and willing to pay gold to buy the plant and progress with the main story.

The plant is quite unique and stands out with a blue glow, it can be found usually by rivers, small bodies of water, waterfalls and throughout Everfall and Windsward.

My final recommendations as a source of easy gold early game comes from the ammunition archers and gun users will need to keep on farming and levelling their weapons.

Arrows are crafted at the workshop for 5 flint, easily picked off the floor, 2 green wood also easily collected from bushes and young trees, and 3 feathers which are acquired from killing and skinning Turkeys that are found throughout all zones.

Because of the town board quests attached to feathers, turkeys are going to be hunted near to extinction – to gain an edge, kill and skin every turkey you seen to level up your skinning adn hunting to level 25.

To craft Bullets is a little more involved and also seems to be the more popular choice so the opportunity for huge gold exists – crafted at the workshop you will need 4 iron ingots, harvested from mining iron veins, 1 linen which is created from 4 fibre, which in turn is obtained from harvesting hemp plants that look like giant lavenders – most commonly found in grasslands and forest areas.

and 1 gunpowder which is the most complex part of this video. You need 5 charcoal from burning wood in the forge, 2 flint from the floor, and 1 saltpeter which is found around or inside caves as well as mines and quarries.
