It doesnt make sense to have it be anywhere near 100 mining or this hard considering its just an uncommon item. not to mention there is gear you are supposed to be able to craft early game using this and petrified wood.
Fae Iron still need its droprate to be significantly buffed. I mined for one hour with mining luck buff food and never got a single fae iron. The weapon tier after iron needs fae iron, so one should be able to get it with only minor inconveniences at around level 15, with around 50 mining. One should not have to craft a whole set for this.
Fae iron wasn’t level 100 mining required in the beta. I was just over level 50 when I got Fae iron in the beta. You can get Fae iron starting at level 1 mining, even in the beta. It’s an early game rare material.

How did you get that mining gear man? Did you just make a 100 leather boots and roll for the mining luck?

lvl 77 minin, 17% mining rare luck+ buffood…. after 3hours straight 6 fae iron.
