  1. I love to hate on new world when they actually make mistakes, but I feel like in this case it's just a bunch of gamers not understanding how an online game actually functions. This mindset of people thinking they understand everything and is an expert on it when they arent is reflected every day in society. It's a bad habit.

  2. I love how they made an entire reply which is a bald faced lie. Josh Strife Hayes made not two, but three videos disproving both their answer and the fact that they fixed the bug (which they didn't). He literally made a new video showing you can inject code into the general chat and crash other people's games.
New World is gonna crash and burn in a few months, unfortunately.

  3. I remember playing rift at launch, and while I didn't like it and went back to eq2, the game actually worked. Back in 2010 when FF14 launched in a disasterus state, people actually didn't white knight it, so they put it back into beta and relaunched it how it should've been…

  4. "It doesn't matter that the game came out broken. They'll fix it just like they did with Crucible and Breakaway."

WoW had issues at launch but my understanding has always been that a lot of those were server related. FFXIV has issues at launch – and ended up being fixed after a laborious and expensive 3 year process.

The thing with New World is that it has no subscription revenue so if it ever reaches the point where future sales revenue < cost of fixing the game it doesn't make sense to continue. And it may already be there.

  5. They sound so much like Blizzard. The whole you guys are wrong, we are right mentality. If you messed up, come out and admit it, don’t try to explain away the situation. Their answer is always, “we are working on it” yet every time they fix something, something else is broken. Are they doing the necessary testing or are they just fixing a bug and hoping it doesn’t break something else, it like a vicious cycle. I want this game to succeed, but with this mentality, I feel its going to crash and burn. There should not be this many bugs on a game that was pushed back so many times.

  6. Their explanation is horseshit, it doesn't match up with what is happening. If the server was entirely authoritative and simulating the action then jiggling the widow could not create 20s of invulnerability in a roll. You would come back from your jiggle and find yourself suddenly dead. I don't know if they are playing with words, flat out lying or what but the demonstrable, replicatable facts do not match what they are claiming.
