Amazon Games Studio’s have actually made some pretty decent improvements to New World over the last few weeks but, have they done enough?

Will Lost Ark just sweep in and steal the pvp MMO crowd?

Thank you to the Patreon supporters and Twitch subs for keeping the channel going 🙂

  1. The fact that they are letting the exploiters keep the gold is enough reason to not even consider playing. EA did the same crap in SWTOR, and the economy there is total crap. Unless you are an ingame billionaire, you can't afford the time of day.

  2. As much as i love Amazon being hated on, i don't subscribe to haters. Your vids are great cuz you keep it honest and seem objective and have massive experience playing mmorpgs. The kind of opinion i wanna hear! The Amazon hate is just the cherry on top.

  3. I think they may have known how buggy and exploitable the game was going to be, so not charging a recurring sub fee was a cash grab. They haven't been able to sell me more than my own investment (time and effort) and many people have already cut their losses, the experience alone just isn't worth it. How many people would keep playing if they did an entire server wipe and character reset?

  4. I want to see game companies do better, and that is releasing finished products. I will continue to rag on companies and call No Man's Sky trash because I'm not paying for a redemption arc, I'm paying for a complete product.

I absolutely dislike Early Access, but tagging New World as an Early Access title would've been more appropriate at this point in time than trying to pass off a buggy, untested mess of a game as a finished game.

  5. What a phenomenal example of the disconnect between developer companies and the actual players, the human beings, interacting with their game every day.

They have all the "things" in their game. PvE, PvP, town systems, quests, dungeons, etc. New World, should be, an amazing game that's head and shoulders over the current kings of the industry, WoW, FF14, something about New World is just lacking.

    Because the game isn't player-oriented. I don't know what it is. Player-convenient? Player-timewaster?

  6. I really don't think Amazon cares enough to put the effort in to fix New World's. If people are just going to move over to Lost Ark they'll just chalk it up to another misfire and dumpster it.

  7. Only thing I regret is not duping they didn't even get a punishment honestly I've been having fun but didn't know they just did 24hours and let them keep everything… games gonna go down now later new world

  8. A game can definitely come back from where NW currently is, but I don't think AGS can do it. Ignoring the bugs, there is a lot wrong with this game, and they seem to think fixing a few bugs and adding a little content will fix everything. If there are enough players left for more than 3 or 4 servers by new years I'll be shocked.

  9. they just seem to be compounding one mistake after another. I simply havent and wont play this game because the setting is stupidly bizarre. I cannot think of another mmo set in this time period.

  10. Honestly, im of the opinion that any game can be redeemed (yes, even the one that you're thinking of now) given the correct resources, direction and time. New World has their work cut out for them. Given the amount of bugs I've heard and seen, that's plenty of effort just to get what they have to a state most players would consider playable.

I hope they pull it off, I think its odd when people root for games to die, but man is it going to take a miracle in the same league as no man's sky.

  11. I am all for encouraging, but a lot of these issues were known on first day of public testing. Praising someone for literally just doing their job after consistent failures is a very low bar.

  12. Don't know Josh as I stopped playing due to a bug that's not been mentioned but drove me out of the game, namely the map not working. Stopped playing weeks ago before the other bugs started being really talked about. Just made me glad I stopped and didn't over invest in this game.
