Just thought we could catch up on all the News I missed while I was asleep over a coffee! So hows everyone else feeling this morning! I will of course be sticking it out, as I love the game, I am aware of the issues, and they concern me, but still for me at least, the stuff I like still outweighs the stuff I don't.
Oh thanks for covering this. My friend and I had no idea where our gear went. I am like you and will weather the storm and keep playing because it really is the most fun I have had in a MMO in a long time. Its unfortunate that things keep happening but at some point I feel like they will find their stride and flatten the curve of problems in the game.
I am super happy that with flagging they gave us a big boost to finding the rare items we need for the end game gear. I felt like before I was spending way to much time gathering for the gear that should be used for fun PvP gameplay. Now I feel like I will finally get to try builds and have fun vs a non stop grind to get the gear I need for builds I would like to try. Things are looking up to me.
ye… i dont really know what to think anymore. i got pretty hyped by the patch, really enjoyed some of the changes, like the pvp increased luck for chests and gathering. But this harvest set mistake, wtf was that, such an amateur mistake. I also spent some time and gold looking after a good harvesting set, and i fell the solution they gave kinda unfair, tbh. It seems a lot of the bugs could be easily noticed before if they tested it properly, like the mote increased drop rate.
My main source of gold WAS gathering with my harvesting set so I'm pretty devastated. I logged out pre-patch with my full set on, after patch my chest, gloves & boots were missing but my hat, legs & pendant w/ harvesting perk were still equipped which seems strange to me. Like you I had built up my set with high INT and I doubt I'll get anything close to what I had. I've tried to be positive about all the problems we've encountered but at this point, the rolling in and out of bugs is really ruining the game for me. I am close to throwing in my hand & looking for a new home, sadge.
Ya im sitting NW out for a bit. Lost chunks out of my harvesting gear while ive been desperately trying to grind to 150 arcana. After running and harvesting for 10+ hours and still not 150 arcana then losing chunks of my set. Coupled with the same old toxicity that comes with most mmos and compounded by a low pop solo play streamer fan dominated server is too much for me to tolerate anymore.
Thanks for the video and info! Idk if you missed that, but they stated that the harversting gear they will send us will be of the highest GS ever bought, sold ou used by the player. This means we will actually get a free upgrade 🙂
If what they say is true, you'll get a set better than what you had before since it will all be the gs of the highest piece you had. Luck and int isn't a random roll on it, it's set to the gs of the item.
Last patch was candy. This patch is medicine. Medicine that isn't FDA approved and has some horrifically bad side effects for solo casuals like myself. My 4 hours a day average will get me nowhere fast now.
Not only the randomized pieces that worry me. I have 200 armoring and took time to craft orichalcum heavy harvesting gear. Im not interested in getting light armor pieces in return…needless to say, it’s difficult to get those stats on heavy gear…
I think most of us were holding our breath to see what AGS bug fixes newly broke in the next patch. Now we know. I suppose I was lucky in the first few hours I played after patch. I couldn't really do anything since every shed was crammed to overload with returns from my trade listings that couldn't sell because trade was turned off. I was just refining and dumping stuff on the ground to try to make room, popping corks to travel to every city to do the same thing. Hemorrhaged coin for a few hours. Gee, what fun! I did get caught by the jewelcrafting not giving any experience, so there's a lot of silver/gold/platinum and a few dozen stones gone for nothing. More fun! Then I think I'll just go gather, maybe fish some to soothe my nerves. Uuummm, wtf is my harvesting gear? Oh crap. I don't think I can take any more fun today or I might stroke out.

I googled Amazon to be sure and no l'm not misremembering, Amazon is a tech company. I was starting to wonder…
