  1. Hey guys, I have been getting your messages, and testing fishing luck over the past 4 days, and I think me and a few of my friends have gotten to the cause of it being so strange lately. So I have submitted a report, and after watching I hope you will be convinced enough to also submit one!

  2. I haven't done enough fishing to test, but with full fishing luck gear, 2 minor fishing trophies, bait and an ironwood pole with lucky 3 I've caught some fish that shouldn't be possible.

Spots 1 and 2 were both level 1 hotspots in First Light with a total of 1 legendary, 6 snails, 1 sturgeon, 1 eel and the rest basic fish.

Spot 3 was a level 1 hotspot in Everfall with a total of 2 snails, 1 blue, 1 legendary and the rest basic fish.

Going to need to do more testing, but I don't believe I should be catching legendary fishes in level 1 hotspots.

  3. I leveled my fishing from 80-120 this week. Ironwood pole with lucky day, glow fly bait, 1 major fishing trophy, 4% lucky armor, and a 2 star spot gave me a snail or catfish every time except for blues. Even got my first legendary. Seems a bit higher than before, but I’m new idk.
Got furnishing to 200 today, so I’m on my way to the 3 stars.

  5. Thank you! We appreciate you going through all that testing to figure it out. To clarify I should be hitting the 22500 luck threshold without including the fishing rod luck? I had been previously using 5 luck pieces and an ironwood fishing pole with no luck perks with firefly bait at T3 saltwater fishing spots to catch oysters. Should I now utilize trophies to hit 22500?

  6. Thanks for the great video. Your rigorous testing is very much appreciated . May I ask , when you say β€˜luck’ gear , do you mean the standard luck perk gear that you would use for boss / chest farming ? Or do you mean the specific fisherman’s gear with perks like β€˜lucky day’ and β€˜freshwater colossus’ etc. I ask because I fish in fisherman gear , not my standard luck gear with a legendary rod, best bait and 3 major trophies. Would I be better off using my regular luck gear rather than my specific fisherman’ smock / sleek trousers etc ? Thank you !

  7. Ive been wondering myself about this, but i just leveled fishing up and got the fishing gear during the winter event. Not sure what my luck is, but i was wearing Vengeful fisherman set, using iron wood pole with lucky day 3 and lucky night 3. I also have 3 major trophies and using large boost bait. I caught green fish the majority of the time, very few blue, 2 legendary. I took off my armor swapped to an aged wood pole no perks and caught a bunch of blue fish. Fished mostly 2 star hotspots and a few 3 star.

  9. I wonder if something like this is true for chest lucks too, I have done more than 30 whole world trophy runs (brim, ebons, reek) with max-2% luck, I don't get as many trophies as my companions. More important question is how do we know if something is wrong without actually testing like this

  10. I had the opposite effect, I haven't changed my setup with a luck of 22000 and I've been getting fewer oysters and more legendaries. Thanks to your previous video I know how to "calibrate" and see if I can find the new sweet spot. I don't know if it helps, but my fishing pole is shitty and I put the luck everywhere else. My guess is they changed the luck of different components. Where did you get the fishing luck thresholds from your original video?

  11. I also felt something wrong… I went to T3 hotspot in Restless Shore with 22.5k set luck and mainly got small squids. But after trying different T1 and T2 hotspots you kinda realize which are the most common fish for each one (f.e. Clams in T2 RW). Talking from a non-expert fisherman point of view.

  12. do you happen to have any idea how to increase the amount of uncommon Catfish/Aquatic Snails?
last few days i have been fishing in Edengrove with full fishing luck gear and 3 great trophies and my Angry Earth fishing pole (lucky day3) and with firefly-bait i just barely managed to get 1/6 either snails or catfish, 5/6 were grey fish… i think i did about 340 casts and i barely got any green fish :/

  13. So right now it is impossible to reach the threshold where you only get Treasure Chests and Legendary Fish? I have 3x Major trophies, Lucky Waters III x5, Lucky Day III, Lucky Night III, Large Luck Bait, even the Cutlass Fort and 5% Luck Boost song. Yet I still get alot of blue fish. Seems without the luck from the fishing poll, it is impossible to reach/
