New World Luck Perk / Stats for Gear Guide. I will explain the luck system to get better drops for loot. Trophies, top gear like voidbent armor, weapons, and items will be explained to aim for max Loot luck. This is needed to get the rare items when you are farming chest, dungeons ect. We will also go over where to obtain the best luck items in the game and what you will want to aim for on each armor slot category! Voidbent armor is a great start to this set in addition to the pristine pearls that add additional luck value! 600 gear score crafted items will fill in the rest of your best luck set with the final addition of a rare sword worth tens of thousands of gold coming from lvl 55+ chests, stockpiles, and elite chests!

Have you had any great finds with a luck set?
How much luck is too much?
I have this set besides the weaver's fen (f* for me…), and yet the drop are not THAT great. But well, we keep on going haha
Since 5 gear score difference in luck matters, does 5 gear score difference affect main stat aswell? Will a 590 strength amulet give more weapon damage than a 585 strength version?
having to use a shield to have maximum luck is dog shit game design, but then again this game is filled with bad game designs so

stop using BIS for items that just have the highest luck roll lol. BIS means best in slot meaning all stats lol.
1 pristine pearl is the same as the minor luck trophy. That seems off…

That's not good lol. If you have a shitty sword for end game gear. Or can you just your bow or whatever and still gwt the advantage of those luck?
I'm not sure if you get the shield luck when looting chests. If you have con on your shield, watch your HP when you loot a chest; it'll go down.
when you open a chest you put your weapons away (so you no longer block other players) so would not that mean the sword and shield would not help
Best? possibly. Min-maxed? not at all.
From my testing, perks on shields don't seem to work while looting chests, even if you had a sword drawn when you interacted with the chest. Tested rigorously with a guildie by having him use two shields of the same type and GS, one having a Slash Resist perk and the other not. Dueled him and hit him with a Great Axe while he looted a chest with his sword drawn when hitting the interact and he took full damage from the slashing. So Shield luck is only good for farming mobs at the moment.
Does the luck for a chest trigger on the acquiring of the chest or the opening of the chest. So could I save up a bunch of chests. Put on a full luck set and open them all with the RnG luck kicking in during the opening?
So you run pearls as gems for all content? Or … do you have multiple sets of armor? I have a blue/purple luck set which I use for chest runs which I run as a solo follower, If however doing PvP/PVE content in a group does not your group split your luck? My understanding is… the group gets the luck is that true or not? It is the same issue with multiple "groups/players" tagging the same mob lowering/splitting loot rewards. Want to better understand how luck works in groups.
i read somewhere that amulet gives negative luck. is that true? also could you show your end chest run what kind of item did u get with that whole luck set?
I'm pretty sure the trophies count as 5% luck each. I know everyone has been saying 0.5% but recent there's been math done that made the trophies work out to be 5% for a minor.
There should NOT be any luck stat on shield, that's just a massive oversight on part of AGS

The thing is, does the luck on the shield even work?
It's because I believe that when you loot/mine/log etc, shield stats are NOT considered(you lose the str stat when you mine a node while having a shield)
So I dont think the luck would work on it, afaik
already salvaged the ring, oh well 🙁
who has an extra voidbent set to waste and put those luck gems in. putting onyx would be more practical for everything else in the game.
Luck in shields with a sword works when opening up a chest. For example I'm under 300 con, but with my shield equipped that has CON with a sword, I can 1 chop trees.
As long as it's out before the action it will count.
Also you can check your base stats (like if a shield gives con,str, dex, and etc) and see the stat bonus is still active while looking if you look at your attributes while looting.
You can do it through opening up the map and switching to the attributes while looting.
The weavers knit dropped today from “the rooted” tentacle boss in the pools in reek water at 500 hear score just FYI it’s the only one I have ever seen drop
I personally have a FireStaff with luck on it too.. I use it "just in case".. but do we even know that luck on weapons even work? How can we know it works only on the main one, the secondary, or in both at the same time? Also.. Luck on Shield? That too is an incognito. I've seen the question regarding luck many times on the forums, but no dev or other official ever responded to those.
How does this guy have so much gold I struggle to make 1k he's got 155k and full voidbent
This is only viable for farming mobs, let me explain.. yes you get luck from the sword and shield but any secondary perk (luck)(lifesteal)(crit) is only applied when the weapon is unsheathed. That being said any weapon with luck will not help when you loot chests because you are forced to sheathe you weapon to loot the chest. Great video though!
Taking pearls over the 2.5% phy resistant gems… that's dedication! I guess you can get away with it being that the tanking voidbent already offers so much protection, my dex voidbent doesn't have that luxury lol.
I don't think shield/weapon luck applies to chests. If you watch your hp while looting with a +con shield, you can see it fluctuate. You actually put your weapon away and lose the stats
