I really struggle to keep it under 900, to be honest, and have had to slow down my progression in the main quest and town missions because I'm always at cap or going over it. Mind you, I'm more a gatherer, and have azoth extraction on my tools, and then am forced to use it in crafting just so I can stay under cap. It's quite standard for me to spend half an hour or more just gathering and collecting stuff in the world. I'd also much rather manually run somewhere rather than fast travel, as I like exploring too. Ah well, to each their own. My level is higher than my combat ability, I've barely bothered with PvP, and I am well behind the main story line, but I'm also having a lot of fun with my "not race to end cap" play. 😛

As much as I love this game, it ll be dead before we know it….
Fast traveling is just to damn expensive, even with the faction discounts. Mounts area must and you should be able to fast travel regardless of where you are located.
