I honestly don’t see them adding much. The game is only 39.99 with no subs. The bulk of changes will be added in Expansions where they will be able to charge
Here is a thing to change:
Don't ban ppl before processing their appeal or process the appeal within 1 hrs of submission.
My 24 hour ban (1st ban by the way, a little heavy for a first ban, but that's just my opinion) is up in 15 minutes, my appeal hasn't been processed yet, aka, useless.
Also, I have no idea why I was banned, so even if I wish to right my wrongs and avoid doing again what I did (which I don't know what is) I couldn't because I don't know why I was banned.
This type of ultra-sensitive, automated ban hammer has only 2 outcomes:
1 – You alienate the person, making the shun away from the community, for fear of being banned again (after all, one has no idea why they were banned) ultimately cuting out the social part of a social game, and leaving the game altogether
2 – radicalizing the person through anger, causing them to simply abuse the system. "oh yeah? all it takes is someone report of being offended for w/e? Cool, I am going to report everyone, fuck the system"
The number 1 thing New World needs is to get rid of unlimited repairs. I give it a month max and everyone will have the best of everything and things like gathering tools will be worthless on the market. If gathering and crafting do become pointless the game will die a fast death.
The article talks about the social systems lacking, yet they author wants player mail so they dont have to meet up with their friends face to face. That seems counter intuitive to their argument. You can send gold instantly from the "Give Gold" in the inventory window, so that is already in the game.
I do agree that the inventory window makes you stop. I would be willing to tolerate that annoyance more if they allow you to use your inventory while in prone. Forcing your character to stand up when you open it while you are hiding in a bush (where even in a PvP scenario you have a moment to collect yourself imo) just has you say "HEY I'M OVER HERE!" and it feels silly.
This game really has so many disadvantages and it's pretty sad so let's start
1. They literally copy pasted buildings from one area to another with a bit of changes like colors or add more stuff pretty sad
2. Repeatitive quests
3. Repeatitive crates and loots
4. Same npcs like why? Even after 50 level there are same Mobs like wolves zombies, literally they are bored making new things so sad
5. I like exploring the world but cmon make some mounts to travel with it would be so fun and it'll not easy to get bored but they didn't even make swim system what are we expecting from them really?
6. No swim system.. Wow its so hard to make one?
There are so many things that the game has not and in my opinion it wasn't ready for release.. This game have gotten so many delays for literally no reason we had so much hype for THIS? Amazon is lazy nothing more, our only hope and last is for Ashes Of Creation.
the only suggestion that makes any sense is viewing inv while moving but this should not be allowed in pvp. goes to show that NW is a pretty good game if these are the complaints.
The jankiness of jumping/swimming/swinging makes a poor experience. They have too much money not to have it fixed.
This game needs to figure out what it wants to be, it was designed for a pvp survival game which has a game loop of gather – craft – go die – repeat. They removed that loop but kept the pvp mechanics that they wanted – forcing faction conflict which really only has town control and nothing else. Not to mention a town battle every few days that 98% of the server pop isn't going to be apart of isn't enough. The faction quests are just grindy. You can't have a pvp based game with no real risk or reward, their "risk" is like 5 minutes of your time to rerun the quest or a few repair parts which doesn't matter once you start doing portals. If it is pve they need to add some serious content as it is clear all of it was an after thought. You cant please anyone they just gotta pick what they want their game to be and go with it. This game has such potential and is currently a mess
how about some incentive to flag up in the open world while leveling? Other than the fort and 3 pvp faction missions, there is literally zero PVP objectives on the map. Add some frigging stuff on the map that actually INCENTIVIZES pvp like an iron/hemp cart traveling from town to town that people can capture ONLY when flagged ect.
Heh the Hearthstone cooldown argument is back after a decade-or-so then? 🙂
They should fix the toxic chat that teenagers are creating

What if they made it reduced azoth cost when fast travelling back to the last on you fast traveled to? It benefits people questing and gathering while its not being abused to go all over the map

Im sorry ive been a alpha tested for new world since the first alpha, u allways HAD to stop to open your inventory, it even had a cool animation of you rumeging around a bag 🙂
Its just an excruciatingly dull, boring and tedious bare-bones MMO. A walking simulator with bad combat!
Mobs and chests and quests should give 98% less armors, wepons, ready to use stuff. Otherwise just delete crafting form the game. Markets are almost totally screwd because of so much ready to use loot. If you want to give more loot, do like Albion Online that all items are made by players and sold trough blcak market and then distributed to chets and mobs. Now the game is overflow with loot and this game will die very quickly and people get bored.
Alts can't be created on the same server unless you buy the game again on a new steam account
New World needs to commit. PvE or PvP. Trying to please everyone will only disappoint all.
I just want to bloody swim from one side to another instead of dragging my ass miles around a shore or lake.
Player collision in dungeons is kinda ass
IMO
1. Inventory arranging while moving.
2. Questing sync
3. Scalable UI elements (as a healer this would be amazing)
4. Raid party sizes
5. Remove dungeon key system for everything but end game 60 dungeons.
Some good insights. If what I'm hearing from the list is any inclination they are probably not going to like AOC either. I don't think there will ever be a recall stone in AOC and that's intentional, unless something has changed.

So the thing I hate the most is…
The crafting system with tiered workstations, in my world the only tier 5 cooking is in first light, most crafting stations high tiers are in brightwood and most refining high tiers are in weavers fen with one guild owning most the map, so to craft stuff while holding mats it costs around 200-300 azzoth, so I'm constantly walking the entire length of the map multiple times a day, it's such a stupid system, you can circumvent this somewhat by buying a house in the town's but when there is an invasion those workstations will be downgraded… Which then makes your house pointless.
The 2nd grievance I have is, cooking… There is only 1 herb in the whole game, which can drop over 15 different mats as a random drop… Need paprika? Harvest hyssop, need garlic? Harvest hyssop etc etc then…I found out that garlic only drops from specific hyssop, there is literally only 7 nodes that drop it and then it's rng if it even drops
some things that need improvement:
sometimes hits miss for no reason, even with melee weapons.
some animations still feel too clunky. for example the last autoattack of the rapier or when the parry doesnt connect i have to awkwardly wait even though the parry doesnt count anymore anyways.
sometimes my musket shoots a second bullet very fast after the first one without actually doing something. and yes, it sometimes consumes a bullet.
low level monster should not aggro me anymore.
i dont know which mmo had this, but one of my first mmos had the system where the enemies names change colors depending on how much higher your level is. and the color indicades tha aggro range. red= high range yellow/orange= medium range grey= doesnt aggro anymore.
maybe add some mounts. but not in form of animals. something like azoth boots that let you glide slightly above ground would be cool. and they can only be used when pvp is off.
and a big maybe : 1 or 2 more skills per weapon.
edit: and ofcourse i agree that you should be able to open your inventory while mining and running.
not sure about the player collision though.
They need to add some pvp only zones so the like of skinning your prey being stolen can be stopped. Make level capped zones be 1/2 pvp.
