New Update Theory: New Anti-Cheater Weapon for BSG? // Escape from Tarkov News

Today I got my tin-foil hat out when we got an update in Escape from Tarkov that could end up being huge. With today’s update people noticed their access to the flea market was being revoked and this message would pop up. This itself ended up being a bug and soon after they were able to get back onto the flea… but it got me thinking. BSG have been stepping up their game against cheaters recently with a new ban wave that happened last week and I wonder if hitting obvious RMT players on the flea was part of today’s update. The people who sell dozens of GPUs or AESAs or a hundred LEDXs at once kind of stuff. My theory is there’s a system now in place to either track or ban their use on the flea.

Although I do sometimes get a hand from BSG and occasionally get to talk to Nikita or other members of the team, I do not work for BSG. I also work entirely off public information and past experiences of working in game dev myself, as well as following this game closely for several years. Unless I state very clearly otherwise, the information you’re about to hear should be taken as speculation. You can either get no information or speculation, that’s all we have to go off of these days unfortunately which is why it’s easier to just say Thursday whenever anyone asks for dates. If you want hard facts and dates you won’t get them, period.

  1. I really don't understand how people don't know, the difference between public and Private cheats.

Public are Cheat/Mob menu's that get Updated publicly by anyone and have no dedicated development team, which means it isn't stable and can get easily accessed and detected.

Private Cheat/Mod menu's have a dedicated Developer/s who manage the Cheat to make sure their Cheat is up to date with the game and functioning well within the games offsets and coding. With this they are privately sold, I,e you need to know someone to get one this good, or you have to buy it very expensive.

PS: Currently the only cheaters being banned are one's using free Cheat menu's which haven't been updated in time with the game, therefor get caught by Admins, catching player's running out of date cheats like a Dinosaur in a City Centre. This is how you get Banned.

  4. selling a ton of 1 item at a time that was acquired legitimately shouldn't be frowned apron nor against the rules, its just selling stuff after saving up, nothing wrong with that in the slightest bit.

  5. RMT requires the RM, Real Money. The flea market deals in Fake Money. No RMT trader is trading graphics cards for roubles on the flea market. They're trading them for real money on black market sites and scheduling in-raid drop offs.

The high item count traders on the Flea are more likely small time cheaters enjoying the fruits of their $75 a month cheat engine. The vast majority of RMT in Tarkov (and most FPSMMOs) is almost exclusively RMT Carry, in Tarkov's case in Labs, Reserve, and now Lighthouse. How would an RMTer guarentee the right people, who are paying REAL MONEY, get the items in the Flea Market? Why would their customers pay in game roubles AND real money for the items?

I wish people that report on gaming, specifically cheating, actually understood how the thing they're reporting on works.

  6. Flea market needs some limitation on insane prices – so stupid when bolts are 50k, or the one key you need for a quest is 2mil. Can’t they add a ceiling for items, so you can’t just exploit everyone ? Say up to 100k more than trader value. I swear it’s the lack of limitation that encourages rmt. They can do their shortages by raising or lowering fees on different items depending on scarcity

  7. "stepping up their game" – literally got shot through a wall like 6 times by a super obvious cheater who then voiped at me and bragged about it…… the cheaterts in tarkov are legit killing the game, like no other game ive ever played……
