Apologies from the DSFU staff – there were some videos that were in production when the staff went on vacation that have not been seen. We will back track a little to these videos that fill in some detail on Maggie’s return and David’s disappearance. Sarah hears David’s calls for help and shows him how to get out of the secret room. Unfortunately, before David can go home to Collinwood, Barnabas catches him and questions him about what he has been doing.

Barnabas meets the caretaker for the first time. Barnabas assures him he isn't a ghost 👻. He is quite alive, but only at night. Shhh. Don't mention that you're a vampire 🦇. Poor old fellow will have a heart attack.

Sarahs willingness to want to help David comes with a promise. David would've been safer staying in the secret room until daylight in order to avoid any dangers with Barnabas.
David henesy was the best actor on dark shadows, thats what the rest of the cast said back in the dayl
If I had to guess I would say David and Sarah where chosen of immediately when they auditioned for the part

Barnabas showed great patience while talking to the old caretaker of the cemetery! Too bad he wasn't patient with David. He should be more kind, then David wouldn't be afraid of him. I love seeing these old episodes of Dark Shadows! Thanks so much!! ~Janet in Canada
