Sad to see this game fail so hard, it has the potential to be really good
Randomizer mode, without the nuzlocke rules…I think I should finally play this game through proper. Randomlocke legit got me to redownload the game to try it out, but knowing there wasn't any regular rando mode was lame. Now playing without any restrictions, that sounds fun~
Positivity aside, the big problem with Temtem is that they've not done a good job of pulling people back who aren't hardcore players and that keeps happening. So you overall have a small but very dedicated playerbase that sustains it, but not bringing new blood in doesn't refresh the environment. It reminds me of common mistakes MMOs make, even.
I’ll say it again, this should all be single player content and multiplayer should be one of those us having our the cake and eating it too things. The content sounds good, I just don’t see it bringing people back
Umbra Temtem sounds like Shadow Pokemon but born that way.
They should had made interesting lore and backstory for the Temtem in the first place. Instead of another plot with the archtamers and Clan Belesto

Now that i see the umbras they look dope dont get wrong but they all just dark color and red eyes like nothing special here tbh and imo.
Aw, they don't let you sell equipped cosmetics any more. Even your hairstyle could show up as sellable; I always wondered what happened if you sold your only hairstyle, and now I'll never know.
What exactly does the 'core creature collector audience' think the game needs to retain players? I always hear the complaint, "they arent adding new areas/tems dead game" but they literally just added a new area, a new temtem, and a new alt form of EVERYTHING to catch and the response is "yeah, im just gonna play the new route and then immediately drop the game, encounter chance for umbras too high dead game." Isn't this attitude exactly why crema said it was unsustainable if their business model was new tems/islands? Is there even a way for games in this genre to be viable as MMO type experiences?

people have been saying that same "this is probably their last patch…" for a couple years now, and the game still has a lot of people engage on it. I dunno where people get those ideas
There is still no way to make money end game because you need lv 100s . Game economy feels soft locked
I just beat the final boss, and once I finish the achievements I don't plan to play any longer. MMO's just aren't for me, and Umbra hunting sounds awful.
The fact you have to beat the lair to even get base rate umbras, and radars for them, killed all excitement i had when i first saw them.
