  1. A good co-op survivors / bullet heaven seems fun, just kind of wish it was coming from devs with a better track record. As for the main game, the fact that it took a dev path that made it mmo grindy is what drove me away from it. I was looking for a fun co-op "pokemon" experience with a bit more of a mature story to it, so I honestly couldn't care less if it does or doesn't get updates unless it goes through some massive changes.

  2. Ahh.. So they are just trend chasing now, eh? Damn shame. Definitely not worth trusting these devs, as they are clearly just out to make a quick buck on whatever happens to hyped at the moment.
Edit: It really sucks that Indie devs are now following the exact same losing formula that the AAA industry has fallen into.

  3. I haven't even finished the main game and have lost interest in doing so. 💀 The devs don't sound very supportive of neither their fanbase or their game. It's just wild wanting the credit of being an MMO while not actually.. putting in the work to maintaining it, lol. A shame, there were some fun creature designs.

  4. While I think it would be nice to have a co-op survivor, temtem should've tried to save their main game instead of just trying to abandon it (lets be honest, that's what it feels like).

While it looks good, I feel… like how they update their main game will be a idea how their new game will be like, not getting updated very well which mean it'll be around… give it like a week and be gone, especially if you need to team up to really get far.

I hate saying it but i feel like they trying to find a new place to go to in order to save themselves instead of saving the main game at all.

  5. Just to let everyone know:

The problem is not the game or the genre itself, it's the studio that is behind it, buying this game is enabling them to make another game that will not have any updates, filling it with micro-transactions and leaving it to die without updates or listening to player feedback, remember how overly condescending, rude and not trustworthy the devs and the studio is, you don't even need to look far.

Also don't blindly believe their cries on discord, since the first wave of backslash they started to backtrack in a lot of things and making excuses that were nowhere to be seen a couple weeks ago, their argument about the code being spaghetti and because of this they can't add anything new or else would break the game makes no sense since at the 1.0 launch they already stated that they would not be adding new Tems or Islands, they also would not add Umbras or the last Mythical if the code was that bad, would also not add PAID cosmetics and systems almost every update, the code was never a problem and they are using this now to justify why they didn't update their existing game and jumped to another one, YaW himself said that he didn't want to develop more a game like this and the next game would be different.

About the servers costs the devs himself, and the director, said not even 6 months ago that the costs were negligible, if you also look at the most popular servers for indie games and for this size you would see that servers, even on the most expensive side, have plans of about $500 per 3 years, it was confirmed by YaW himself on reddit that the servers costs were not a problem and would not be a problem because the game was sustainable enough that it would survive many years, this was brought up when players started questioning the population of the game and you can look at reddit for that.

If you value the gaming industry I would suggest to not buy this game, if you have a itchy for game like that go for Deep Rock Galactic Survivor from a studio that listen and take players feedback to heart, also if you want a "co-op" style Vampire survivors you can go with: Bounty of One, Mobmania, Jianghu Survivors, Relic Dudes, Might'n Mow Em and Ikki Unite (which is up to 16 players).

The most expensive costs $12, all other are less than $7, save your money and don't help Crema.

  6. As someone who recently started playing Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, This game looks like it could be pretty similar and I'll deifnitely at least check it out.
    BUT…

As someone who doesn't CURRENTLY play TemTem, but owns it and has played a bit of it and understands the current criticisms of the game AND the devs: HUGE missed opportunity here… Give the people WHAT THEY WANT and expand on the MAIN GAME… instead of trying to make spin-off games of a game that has yet to reach its full potential. Just seems weird and misguided

  7. I don’t get the backlash for the main game. Sure there’s bugs but every game has that and they have to account for all the platforms for updates.

I’m sure there would be a lot less complaints if everyone had to make their own game or work on one with other people to see how much work it is.

As for the new swarm game I’m not really interested in the genre personally but I’m sure others are.

  8. Glad I'm not the only one who was like 'if you were gonna do a game spinoff you could have picked a Mystery Dungeon, y'know…' xD

Really though I am actually pleased with them expanding their IP into new and different genres of game, it's something Pokemon takes forever to even try to do. And while I understand the main game could use love, my hope would be that this game draws interest from a new audience who might funnel into the main game at some point. That said, as people have pointed out, the game they're making is a genre that has been very, very flooded lately. If this is another auto-battling survivors style game with no real defining feature other than their existing IP, it'll be problematic.

  9. I like the idea of the game but I don't think the visual style supports the bullet heaven genre. It's really intense to look at and honestly kind of confusing. I think the price tag will determine if I decide to get this game or not.
