What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for Youtube, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! I also dabble in City Builders and strategy games like Civilization 5, Civilization 6, Dawn of Man, Stonehearth, Factorio and Rim World. I do at least two videos everyday of mainly tutorials, let’s plays and general gameplay footage. Thanks for watching my videos.

This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development.

  1. The BBQ is still a one thing at a time use although you can't get set on fire by it.
That scale in John's store is for selling large eggs, amber chunks (look like gold balls) and that large swirly rock you found mentioned below.
You can make some good dinks that way..
Also if you plan out your building sites before you set them down it will save some frustration later because you can make the ground grass after you place a house or building without moving it later.
Go ahead and place the bulletin board as it will give you some good paying quests later besides the personal quest they ask for every day..
One of the quests will be a load of croc meat which you should stockpile.
The furnace smelts iron bars which the forges can't but will smelt tin and copper faster.
You will get some personal quests from townspeople for bottle brush plants so you might want to make a farm of them and any other fruit you find out in the world.
Any of the fruit you cook will give about double stats than the raw version.

  2. Kage try make wood/basic bat with 1gum plank n 2 spinifex resin(burn spinifex turf) that you can 1 hit barrel and it's cheap weapon and also you can jump on Croc to evade bite attack(croc pattern attack have fatigue/cooldown that look like sweat icon after 2-3 bite attack
Edit: Kage that shop deed is on top the rocky dirt that where note/ore spawn and also place the fossil you find at John weight thingy to sell or you can break it

  3. I saw on the Dinkum steam page that this game has coop and was wondering if anyone has tried it out yet? I probably should elaborate… just curious if the quest progression and inventory etc is shares or is it more that your friends come to your island just to visit?

  4. Get a metal detector and dig for scrap… sell everything except maybe the shiny discs, Franklin will pay lots when he visits. Scrap equals serious money, you can start hoarding scrap later. If you dig up a piece of Amber, take it to John's and drop it on the scales. Chop down a bunch of trees at a time you'll probably get a bee hive, take that to John's and drop it on the scales. During thunderstorms, you will be struck by lightning or a strike close by, get the Thunder-egg! Take that to John's scales too. The last one I got was worth 95K dinks.

  5. There is no interest on any of the loans but you cant start a new "deed loan" until the previous one is paid off. The town will help pay the loan but it is up to you to pay most of it otherwise you are not gonna move forward.
There is a heart bar with the persons name when you talk to them it shows how much they like you. You had 1/2 heart with Jon.
Spend some of your permit points to help make your life easier; as you spend them more licenses will open up which will allow you to make better items.
The BBQ will cook one item but is faster than the camp fire and can be sped up by the windmill (I am working on getting my second one)
Furnace is faster than the basic furnaces and can also melt Iron
Crusher will turn stones into cement and will also break down the Shiny stones
Once you can make the Keg stop selling the yellow flowers; also the keg takes FOREVER so if you have the items make two of them
The metal detector is very fun and will allow you to repair the Teleport towers.
Now that Jon is open take the fossil to his shop and drop it on the scale

  6. If you wait for the towns people (Fletch and John) to pay the debt you best play non-stop for a couple of years, you will accrue debt for every building, I just paid on average 10K for every 20K I made till paid off, but if you sell fossil you could get between 20K and 60K depending on weight. Get the metal detector and Shovel by buying the Treasure Hunting Permit and Excavation permit and you will become rich. Look at their names when you chat and you will see hearts, that's your friendship meter. BBQ is faster to cook and safer as you can't walk into the fire. Level 10 in that field will allow you to make copper tools but you will need the base tool, haven't gotten to level 15 or better to see if can make iron without base tool.

  7. Fletch is a scammer. She doesn't contribute anything to the debt. You have to go into debt and then pay it off before you can get anymore deeds. I think you have to build a permanent store for them before they will stay. Otherwise they just keep visiting and leaving. You need lots of Dinks.

  8. Fletch is a vegetarian. John likes big game meats like croc, shark and casaray meat its a big bird also alpha meat. The npcs sometimes ask for the type of food they like. That fossil can be weighted at johns store it worth heaps of money

  9. Fruit salad is a good recipe you can start using as soon as you get the cooking table. Just takes a bunch of fruit items that you can pick in the wild. And of course you can setup an orchard on Day two, it won't produce anything for 16 days or something like that, but once it does you can pretty much just ignore fruit you see in the wild. I buy extra shovels all the time, filling up your toolbar with them makes terraforming a lot easier.

  10. So now that I’ve watched Kage play this, I decided to try it out and this game is awesome! It’s addicting to keep grinding out the challenges. Plus you can’t beat the price considering Animal Crossing is still sitting at $60. Now I just have to find a way to get my wife addicted to this game… haha.

  11. unlocking trapping has been very profitable if you have a few traps and a drop off point once you "catch" you can put them in a drop off doohickey and it literally metal gear 5 balloons them away…
if you try this it can be lucrative, more violent creatures will break out but you dont lose the trap and you will get money in the mail the next day and your trap back . So far all of my trapping has ranged between 4k-10k per
Another note is "Something to eat" it has to be cooked…… you aint eating it raw, so why would they?

  13. I got my 5 stars town yesterday. And what I did was I just keep buying helicopters until it gives me 5 stars. Yeah, screw those happiness, beauty, friendship helpful friend, whatsoever. We only need technology, and we end up with 5 stars as well.
