A new shipping route opened on Sunday between Indonesia and Yangpu Port in south China, bringing the number of the portโs foreign trade routes to 13. The new route covers the Indonesian ports of Jakarta and Surabaya and the Klang Port in Malaysia, further facilitating trade between China and the two countries. Four ships with a capacity of 4,250 20-foot equivalent units (TEUs) will serve the weekly-operated route. The new route reduces the transit time from Yangpu Port to Indonesiaโs Jakarta to seven days.
