What’s the most interesting mystery you’ve ever watched being solved on live TV? What kept you coming back until the end? The Curse of Oak Island is one of the best. The tiny island is rumored to have a wealth of treasures but has already claimed the lives of most who’ve tried to reach them.
Rick and Marty Lagina weren’t intimidated. Both of them, especially Rick, have loved searching for adventure and solving mysteries since they were boys. They were enthralled by Oak Island as soon as they heard about it.

Buying part of it to start searching for its treasures was a no-brainer. Making a show about it took a bit more convincing, but it became a hit. The brothers’ investment in solving the mystery is high with all the expensive equipment they need, but they’ve already found valuable items in their search. The one that they consider the most historically significant is a cross from the Knight’s Templar. They also made a dear friend in Dan Blankenship. He was cold to them at first but then warmed up to them as they worked together.
Conditions are too harsh in the summer to dig on the island, but that shouldn’t make you think the brothers don’t work hard. They spend hours digging five days a week. That’s in addition to Marty’s other responsibilities, such as his energy business and wine company. The brothers also don’t plan on stopping their search anytime soon. They’ll keep going until they feel that there’s nothing more to find and it’s time to let someone else try to solve the mystery.

This show is a SCAM! The real treasure is from their production company. They have made tens of millions of dollars producing this show. They haven't found anything that you could not find on the eastern coast of the United States.

You got the brothers wrong. Rick is the one with the gray beard. Marty is the clean shaven one. Every time you talked about one or the other, you showed the wrong guy. A simple IMDb search would have cleared this up.

Interesting information but this is mistitled. Nothing in this video are "secrets". It's just information/Interesting facts.
I STARTED getting interested in this from the same Readers Digest 1965. For a whole numbers of reasons that would take way too much writing I am of the opinion that what ever was there had been found at least 100+ years ago. Just to give you a taste of this, consider this……….Oak Island, many, many, years ago was split up into at least 10 land parcels owned by 10 different people or families. Two of those families or single people "suddenly" became mysteriously and fabulously wealthy and moved away. Gee, I wonder where they got the money.?
They are on a FOOLS ERRAND and a FOOL AND HIS MONEY ARE SOON PARTED. They will NEVER find anything and should move their focus to the Carribean for sunken ships. There they's have better luck.
