Sometimes I really do wonder why fragments of certain AAA-Devs don't hire some of these people. This is absolutely one of those moments.
I think Zelda monsters would not even have to be redesigned in a Pokemon style to fit this idea. I would be totally fine with just sending a regular Skulltula or Stalfos Knight into battle.
I really hope they dont cese and decist this game now. I had never heard of it, but now that it's on YouTube, the chances are high that it will be like pokemon uranium because it's 2 of Nintendo's most popular titles instead of just 1. The worst part about what they did to uranium was that they had just finished the main game, and then they sent the cease and decist. So the players got no post game, and it's very frustrating for both the creators and the players, especially when it's a great game like that

Mixing Pokémon and Zelda served as one of my inspirations to create a game too. It's quite satisfying to see someone take this concept literally in a Zelda Pokémon fan game!
Funny. I was just fantasizing about this idea yesterday. I get the sense the world is willing this crossover into existence. Wouldn't be any weirder than Pokemon Conquest or Cadence of Hyrule.
I hope the creator the best and if anything happens to the fan game I hope they will salvage it and turn it into an official monster tamer of its own! 😊

As a heads up, bringing attention to a franchise-based fan game, especially for a Nintendo IP, is a good way to get them a Cease and Desist.

Thanks so much for showcasing me Ed! I’ve been watching your channel since the Kindred Fates Kickstarter! This is very much a passion project that was started through just some random crossover fanart but people’s interested over time has made me wanna put more into it. It has goals outside of it being tied directly to Zelda and Pokémon and if Nintendo was to ever intervene I would just fully commit to my own IP/universe so either way this idea and me working on this in some form won’t be going anywhere ✅
If you should show some fangames at some point, I would like to know how to get them, I barely did this so far and only recently got an active interest in that.
I'm still carefull what I might download however.

And I get the many Pokémon fan game sea, that’s why I want to do more Digimon World 1 and Monster Rancher type of games for monster raising.
I really need to start learning Godot and Game Maker to see what I can make.
