  1. Why are duplexes good? As quickly as our understanding of mechanics has been changing, it's quite possible I've missed a benefit to duplexes. My understanding is that the duplex advantage was just a misconception that families in the subplot didn't consume goods. I think the current understanding is that the consumption is the same as two plots, it's just that a duplex only stores 1 unit of each consumable at a time, yes?

  2. either you make a video about all the changes (with that thumbnail) or you make it a community chat video.
This is highly unwatchable getting interrupted ever 15 seconds.
i love your bannerlords stuff but this manorlords videos are really not what im used to see from you.
I know, this is a trend but as always, i hate the trend becuase they are usually stupid

  3. Oxen are there own species of animal, sort of. They are still bovine ruminants like cows are. The difference is they are animals bread for working not milking and eating. Could you eat one? Yes, but that wasn’t their purpose they plowed fields, pulled carts, towed logs, and other physical labors.

A male cow still intact is called a Bull, an male cow no longer intact is called a Steer.

Oxen were often used in tandem with other oxen to pull even more and the objects attached to them to aide in their labors were called yolks.

I guess you could look at them as just bulls who are working instead of focusing on breeding, but Oxen were bread for a better temperament than bulls. Oxen were often burried and honored instead of eaten. Really all we produce from bovines for meat eating purposes are steers.

Bulls and Cows are used to make more cows and steers. We eat the steers and the cows pile up to make more steers. When we need another bull you just pull a steer out of the castration line and keep it a bull.

Hey Strat, Not sure if you'll see this but I did a live stream showing that i built the church first and got both the population and economy moving…I changed the settings to challenging and tweaked it for the long run..I already have 5 days 18 hours playtime..Just want to kill brigands and build for now until more updates

  5. 2:20:27 – Settlement level increased (November)… Did it increase the Kings tax??? NO, it stayed the same.
2:22:00 – Beginning of December, 156 tax changes to 336… Maybe it did increase the tax, but only at the end of the month???

  6. Perhaps the king's tax should apply only after getting small town?? Definitely makes sense but it does block expansion and anything other than our own towns people being called to arms.

Trade still seems unbalanced to me 25 was low perhaps but if each route increases in cost maybe make teirs ie first 3, first 7 first 10 then 50% all 🤔

Mercenary only run will likely be impossible with King's tax on.

  7. Hi, just wanted to give a tip you probably know already 😇
In the beginning, when you going to move the wild animals with hunters buildings in the forest, you can easily find the camps you have put down with the tab key 😂

  9. Maybe it was your video on farming that did it, but man I'm happy to see the farming improvements in this patch. That was a nightmare to micromanage.

Still can't believe this game was made by 1 person. Has such a great future.

  10. This is the game I've always wanted. An Age of Empires game with actual city planning and design. Too bad I can't play the game. Nothing but D3D errors on my GTX 1070 (get 100fps with a mix of ultra and High settings and shadows on Medium ~ up to date drivers ~ no issue with any other games) no matter what settings I choose. Sometimes I get 20 minutes of play time and sometimes I get 60 seconds. Also, the lack of information on what each building actually does when a family is assigned to it is also frustrating. At least the current in-game wiki is decent but it needs more work. Like, when I have a family in the farm ~ what do they do during the winter? Does a family in the hitching post do anything specific other than 'speeds up logistics'? By how much? Do I get more ox from putting a family in there? Are more hitch posts a good idea? If a building is unmanned do I still get the benefit of having the building? Like, if I have an upgraded storage but no family assigned, do my supplies still get brought to that building? Do the excess supplies still get sold on the market? On and on and on. Maybe these would be answered if I could actually play the game longer than 20 minutes but even during my limited play, there was no information available to these basic questions in-game.

I know this is still in alpha or beta or w.e but they've been working on this game for 7 years now and the content is still far from finished. I just hope they roll the updates out faster and faster. Sorry for the rant, I just needed to vent about my frustrations that don't matter in the end.

  12. The Kings tax is killing my progress to a slow crawl. accumulating money now to start making money is a pain. If I want to pay the kings tax I slow crawl, if I want to develop I cant' pay the kings tax. and that's with destroying several bandit camps (and paying the blood toll). even after a good start as well.

  13. I did less than 20 min of video and already get the info I didn't know. Specifically, that the ox is a castrated bull. I'm born and raised in a city as well, but I have relatives in a village. I think there just might not be a word equivalent in my language 😆 Keep up the good work, Strat! Love your videos!

  14. Physics is pretty awesome. I understand your interest in business and self-employment, though. I started out a molecular biologist, then got a MS in computer science and went into data analysis then biostatistics. I gave up my career to raise my child and take care of our household because it was just easier that way when the pandemic hit. But I am hoping to become self-employed at some point when I'm done having kids. I'm very analytical, and I really need things done as efficiently as possible, and that just never happens when you work for someone else. I'm glad I found your channel because your style of gaming and the games you enjoy line up perfectly with mine!
