My wife and I were there last night. We don’t party so we walked up and down bourbon literally talking and enjoying laughing at the fun everyone was having around us celebrating. It took us about 30-40 minutes to walk down and back up to canal St. We left before midnight . I thank God we did. I can confirm that there WAS adequate barricades available. They however were not being utilized for some strange reason. My wife and I literally have been trying to figure out why the built in metal barricades were not up. It made no sense to us as to why they were using the flimsy orange and white barricades instead of the ones that are literally built into the pavement. If they were up the driver would not have been able to get through.
It is very sad to hear this news, but it was quite predictable considering how your country provides a safe haven to Muslim T and fugitives who are officially criminals in their own nations. Instead of addressing their crimes, You accepted as esteemed citizens. Sorry to say but this outcome was inevitable.
