  1. Good for SAS. Star alliance became useless for carriers that are not in LH group or in jv with LH. Actually it seems to me that LH may be the cause of deterioration of other carriers in group.

  2. I traveled to Svalbard from Hong Kong 3 years ago before they closed the route in April. I have been waiting for them to reopen the route and I cannot wait to travel to Svalbard again.
Let's hope Air France-KLM acquisition can realize it.

  4. I think this is the best solution both for SAS and AF/KL.
SAS need a new partner (both financially and business) after beeing neglected by STAR alliance (they are to close to LH geographical and out of any JVs).
AF/ KL needs a new market and reliever hub since their gov has started to restrict their hubs and their ability to grow.

  5. While it's nice to see that not every European airline belongs to the Lufthansa group, AirFrance-KLM is just about the worst partner imaginable. It's like partnering with Ryanair…..

  6. The european airline markets will likely have minimum effects on the Star Alliance network especially most routes flown by SAS are covered by other SA memebers. The concentration of SA memebers in a condensed market/area can be unnecessary. Hope all the SAS crew is staying with the company at times like this

  7. The 77L order for Silkway is an obvious choice for a freighter given the current market. No other in-manufacture freighter comes close.

The 300ER freighter maybe better once it is in service.
