  1. None for me this week but I do recommend wishlisting Blade Chimera for the ones who are getting Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth.

It's GotY material for Metroidvania fans.

  2. Dreamscaper is a good one. I got it a couple years back or so. I like the small character interactions that deepen and strengthen you and the sorta cozy roaming as you make upgrades and unlock more before starting an actual run. There is a good bit of story or rather self-discovery for your character but not too much to overwhelm you when on the go.

Now the actual dream world sequence is great. When ready for a run you fall through your bed like falling back into your dream. You progress, fight enemies and eventually some formidable bosses as you use your selected load out of unlocked abilities, weapons, friendship perks and so on.

You discover and unlock more as you explore the dream world and eventually sink deeper into the dream as you grow stronger and wake up upon defeat but often with new and cool unlocks available for you that you found and brought back from the dream. It is a pretty good and a bit more original loop that feels more meaningful with some nice character and story development in-between runs.

It is a "Kickstarter" game and I definitely felt they really tried to give a good experience and put some real passion into what they were making. Definitely worth a look and an easier one to recommend compared to other games out there. I know I have sunk a lot of hours into it myself.

  3. The Long Dark and Breathedge look intriguing. Probably just get Breathedge for now though because of the better discount. Or maybe I will finally start playing No Man's Sky that has been in my backlog of games.
