I was taught by my dad, who said his father, told him. When you give a knife as a gift, the recipient is supposed to give you a coin? or token to the giver of the knife ? This assures the friendship can’t be cut, or severed ? Don’t know if it’s true, but I thought it was cool. I guess if you have the address of the people that sent you knives, you could mail them a penny.
We passed by an over 500 lb. Elk on the way to Denver the other morning. We turned around. He Looked like he had been hit the prior evening.. Very, Very Large beautiful animal. There was a kinda large square missing from the front right shoulder barely any blood and the huge tines we're broke in a few spots. Said a couple prayers for him, put a ceramic plaque on his side with John:16 on it & had to go.. On the way back up to the mts., He was gone. My wish is that there is a heaven for the Elk. Jeanine

Jackie is from near to where I am from. I've been to Cook Forest many times, as it's a beautiful drive thru there. Every year I take my son to a deer farm there, called Double Diamond Deer Ranch. They raise some pretty nice whitetail! And the people that run the place are super nice! I've been up to the Kinzua (kinzoo) bridge a few times before a tornado hit it. It was the first or tallest or something, wooden train bridge in the country, but the tornado mostly wiped it out. I had heard that when they built the dam, that it flooded a town and a place that was special to the natives, but 8 always hoped it was just a story people tell. Now that I've heard it from a native with roots to there, it breaks my heart. I'll probably never understand why some people with money and what's perceived as power, will shit all over others, with no regard for anyone or anything other than their objective! What's so hard about respecting other people? I don't get it
