New upcoming SMRT/LTA Alstom Movia R151 doing test run late night on East West Line (Westbound) after the last train of the day has departed.
If you are looking for it, note that each day only one of them runs on a single trip on Eastbound (up to Tanah Merah only to Changi depot) OR Westbound direction depending on which day is it.
In order to find it, you can check the display screen of the station from the 2nd last train onwards for any additional train behind the last train shown as ‘DO NOT BOARD’, ‘Tanah Merah’ or ‘Tuas Link’. If it didn’t show anything after the ‘Last train to xx’, it means it’s not coming from that direction for the day and most likely it’s coming from the other direction instead. Note that after the last train departs on each direction, the screen will just change to ‘Train service ended’ even if the R151 hasn’t arrived yet. Also please do not stay inside the station after the last train on both direction has departed as the station staff has to close the station and for the contractors to start any work needed.
