New loop setup with Falling Zombies! – Path of Exile (3.23 Affliction)



In the past Wardloop/Heartbound loop setups used Skeletons with some alt quality gems, but now alt quality gems are gone and searching for new setups, I found out that Raise Zombie of Falling can loop itself with just CWDT and Heartbound loop ring. However I haven’t figured out reliable way to reach 4 procs/sec.

  1. can you detonate them mid air to fasten the wardless loop just like taint pact used to do?
    I would enjoy bfbb things with another weird setup to wardless loop them.

  2. I stacked 200% recoup using an adorned jewel setup. You could stack just enough for 100% with the help of items and skill tree and then go for damage with the rest of the jewels. One could stack the "damage if you're used a minion recently" for 15-20% inc damage or "7% cast speed if a minion has been killed recently", would be a machine gun with corpse pact. With 10 jewels that'd be like up to 500% inc damage.

  3. theres already necro build offering effect stacking with ice nova of frostbolt automating the frostbolt,desecrate and volatile dead of seething for 200% cast speed with cwdt falling zombies and it has like 50m dps

  4. Thought that would work, because by the sound of it when it came out you still summon a minion with a hp pool so it should effectively make any on death effects trigger too… good to see it works as I imagined.

  5. The second I saw the reveal of the gem in the trailer and they said that they die I immediately started working on exactly this lol.

    As you can see, with Wardlooping/big recoup setups, you can have CWDT Drop Zombies and CWDT Skeletons and you don't need to invest in reduced duration at all.

    The current experiment I'm working on is actually CwC Cyclone Drop Zombies, and using that to trigger CWDT additional Drop Zombies and also Skeletons but instead of using Ward to survive, stacking armor and using the Divine Shield keystone to hit over 2k energy shield regenerated per second. Oh, and the big key: not Necromancer. Sabotuer. Double the raining men, free 30% cooldown reduction.

  6. I spent 2-3 days trying to shop it into something worth the hassle but its so rate capped i gave up. If only it scaled with Minion Speed, cast speed, or Faster attacks to shave off the damn animation time.

  7. Link any self-dying minion to a mine support. Throw two mines and detonate. There is 0.25s delay between detonations, so now you have started TWO independent falling zombie loops at the same time, doubling proc rate. Add CDR so that zombie fall time > 2*cwdt CD so that the two loops don't interfere with each other. Optionally add low-level forbidden rite cwdt to take a lot more dmg each time a zombie dies, which allows you to use lvl 20 cwdt.

  8. I was messing around with this on my saboteur a few days ago, using arcanist brand with triggerbots to proc two zombies with every pulse and using that to start the loop. But I am too much of a noob to get the health Regen in a good place to keep it going. Plus I just don't think Shadow is in a great place on the tree for it, unfortunately.
