  1. Hi Carole that was a lovely video, thank you. Your Wheel of Fortune garments are lovely. I’ve got that magic dress pattern and a piece of fabric I got probably 3 years ago then didn’t know what to do with it. I’m going to give that pattern a go.
I also had the green BTPD fabric and kept it for Christmas. Last week I made a Love Notions Rhapsody dress. I cut the back bodice from a random piece of silk lining I had, and also pulled out the bits of lurex from around the neckline. Wore a full slip under it but still had a few niggly bits of lurex annoying me. 😂. It is lovely fabric though, and did behave well. I used a microtex needle and had no problems.
Enjoy Disneyland Paris, doesn’t matter if other people don’t like it, you enjoy it. The boys will love it and Le Shuttle will definitely add to the fun. Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2024. 🎉

  3. The dress for your daughter turned out gorgeous and she looks lovely wearing it. Great job! And I know that type of fabric is soooooooooooooooooooo slippery. I have sewn with that type before. So soft to wear though. Must get that top pattern with the peplum. Thank you for sharing. Happy Weekend Carole!

  7. Mom to the rescue! That fabric is beautiful!❤ That is so cool when a 3 year-old likes what you wear!😅
Oh, a New Machine! What kind? I am excited to sew the Lutterloh Vest. Hopefully this time I won't mess it up. I forgot to add the seam allowance and I didn't add any additional ease which I like to add a little extra ease. Enjoy your vacation! The little kids and the big kids are gonna have a ball! ❤

  12. Wow! Carole! I’m so amazed at your energy, you have been sewing up a storm! That red dress is lovely and it suits her so well, very attractive. You’re such a good mom, but what else can we do? I do the same thing when they ask for something, I drop everything and make it for them. Your sewing is just as good as anyone’s, no one knows about any wobbles or little mistakes that we make if we don’t tell. I always keep those to myself!😂 Loved the photos at the end, as always. Enjoy the trip to The Magic Kingdom!

  15. Very, very beautiful Christmas dress for your daughter!!! The fabric is absolutely gorgeous and so perfect for a holiday dress. Your daughter owes you BIG TIME for saving the day!!! 😜 Your Wheel of Fate series was a great success and such a fun watch for your subscribers (at least this one!). It's a very original idea and keeps your subscribers engaged week to week. Can't wait for your 2024 series. Great family photo with Santa (Father Christmas)! Nice to see a photo of your daughter's family as it is always nice to look at the grans and see who they take after most. (IMO: Your oldest gran looks a lot like you.) Goofy and Tigger are my favorite Disney characters. 😊 Enjoy your family time in Paris! Hugs! xx

  16. What a great mom, coming to the rescue for your daughter. My mom made all our clothes when we were growing up. When we got to high school we started making our own. But she was always there to help us. Today is her birthday. She has been gone for 19 years and I still miss her. The dress you made for your daughter came out so wonderful and she looks adorable in it. Cute picture of you all and your grandkids. Have a wonderful trip with your family. Thanks for sharing.

  18. I enjoyed your video and your daughter's dress looks amazing on her. I loved your photos of the grandkids and hope you enjoy the time at Disneyland. I live in the USA and there is a Disneyland in Anaheim which would take just 30 minutes to get to from where I live but haven't gone in years. You did a lovely job on that gorgeous dress and the fabric was beautiful, good job mom!

  20. Your daughter's dressed turned out so lovely! I hope you get a nice shirt by the time you leave out of that beautiful fabric! I love watching the Lutterloh patterns. Getting to do the train rides and go to Disney and all those fun things is part of the magic of having young children in your life, I think! I have always been of the opinion that's it's important to enjoy every single moment. Thanks for sharing the Father Christmas visit with us. It brings back memories of when my boys were little, too! Have a wonderful Christmas!

  23. Gorgeous red velvet dress- your daughter is a very lucky young lady. I may have to give that pattern a go, Carole. I have a sneaky feeling that I have the pattern lurking somewhere. I have some navy velvet that it would suit. Maybe a long sleeved top. Would you use that pattern to make a top or a different one? I still haven’t made my Christmas dress though yet. It is cut out (which I did whilst kneeling on a hotel bedroom floor when we were away this week! 😮)
Great ‘snack mats’. People are so clever! Free motion sewing is great fun. You just have to relax and try not to hunch your shoulders too much – good luck. 🤞 And enjoy your amazing Disneyland trip. 🤗

  24. I’m so jealous you get to go to Disney for Christmas. I bet Paris is lovely then. We went in March this year and it was a bit drizzly but so magical still. I love how the characters are just everywhere and Mickey and Minnie on the train station balcony bopping away. Fab!

  25. It is just the best to have a mom that you can depend on for that last minute fashion. My mom never refused me when I requested anything. I’m so jealous of you going for a long visit to Disney. Say Hi to Mickey for me. I will be in Florida soon and only 45 minutes from Disney. I might just have to make a trip over. I’ve gone to Disney World and Disneyland by myself so no one else was interested. It was great joy.
