  1. The lack of "frost" elements for Kislev in this content-drop is down right awful, same goes with the faction mechanic for Kislev not getting overhauled, now that its one big joke in the sense of "infighting" between the church and state… And the "hags" curses.

its showing how much this faction is lost in the sense of what made it great to begin with, there's so much that could be added, like fanatics for the church, frost fiends/elements, more beastial animals of Kislev, ungols, some artillery pieces and the Lore of the Hag magic.

All in all, the DLC is nothing more than hyped up and overpriced garbage.
Nothing is for the better of either of the three factions within and the power-creep is not appreciated anymore.

  2. I really want to get this DLC. But I also don't want to be supporting the seemingly new price hike. For CA dlc content, I think it's quite egregious and not justifiable. I don't want to encourage it, shouldn't I put my money were my mouth is? Or is it hust not really and issue and I should get it?

  3. Malfeasant is just a stunning word for a Friday night. Hats off to another sublime script for an amazing battle. Just another reason to subscribe and become a Member for Indy, push the button people, no one else gives you this level of discourse or objectivity. Between Indy, Turin, and the mighty Legend it is hard to pick a favourite but dialogue like this is rare and inspiring. Time to give Indy all the love you can based on his last video laying out CA's incompetence and his necessity to cover content. This is A grade awesomeness and content creators like this are as rare as fossilised hens teeth.

Show some love to the Master.

  4. These bear boys are absolutely solid skirmishers, especially for their price. My favorite ranged unit of the new DLC is the Grand Cathay new Celestial Dragon Crossbowmen RoR, the Grace of Quai Yin. Much more expensive but omg they have been decimating anything that they get into their impressive target range.

  5. Wait wait wait… Did… Did you just make a video yesterday talking about why you're not covering shadows of change…. just to make a video covering shadows of change the next day? WAT

  6. They ambushers will get nerfed on the next patch for sure, they’ve got way too much utility for what, a tier 2-3 unit? Those mini-wendigos sure are cool though

  7. The 360 shooting on waywatchers still sets them apart, being able to drop that right click volley with all three units while on the move and have them all fire straight away without needing to stop and reposition is oh-so powerful

  8. Akshina are the one unit that does not feel off for them. Ive kinda accepted the Incarnate but the things in the woods feel really freaking off. No generic lord suck, and no lore of hags is lacking but it does have a ton of overlap with beasts and death. The biggest thing is the lack of Ungols, Kislev Cossacks. I will say it has to such to be on the CA side not that GW is pretty much making new lore and units on the spot for them with Old World on the way

  9. Good to hear that they are efficient. But they are overtuned and power-creep. Also the Incarnate and Things just adds to Kislevs already existing Identity Crisis, and I think their faction appeal is all the worse for it, imo.

  10. All 3 factions in this DLC got such a weird and lack luster inclusion. Individually some of the units look good like the Incarnate Elemental of Beasts. But as a whole package? Tzeentch got 3 tzeentch marked and nothing inherently Tzeentchian, not even low-hanging fruits like Changebringers or a Flamer Hero. Their two SEMs aren't even tzeentch. Likewise Kislev got two very non-Kislev units, one of which fits better with Wood Elf and Beastmen. And they have Akshina which is Kislev, but doesn't make a lick of sense with Baba Yaga's expy. You'd think the secret police of Kislev to be more urban and less grizzly adams. Cathay straight up didn't get any meat and potato infantry and cavalry. The overall connection is that all 3 races received way fewer than they should have received in a DLC that came a year late.

  11. The AP melee seems like a downright bug. Not only should they have regular melee to keep them from dominating Streltsi in the same niche, but they have single hand weapons like normal units where the Streltsi have great weapons. I'd say let the RoR have it for fancy feeling but they have one of the best nets in the game and don't need more toys.

  12. The units look great and seem very strong, but man is it weird to have 2 chaos/beastmen associated monsters in a main order faction roster. Seeing boyars and ice witches with armies full of things in the woods and incarnates, just seems wrong. We don’t even know why ostankya has chaos units, as we have no lore stories for her. It’s just odd

  13. 100m range net, 25 second duration, 3 uses, with a "Streltsi but better unit" (-40 armor, -2 charge bonus but better in every other way than streltsi) is egregiously overpowered. I usually don't care about balance, but when a unit, even not counting the RoR with the net, outshadows another on the roster in every way something is wrong. I feel like you could fix them by taking away their majority AP and lowering the missile strength and melee stats.

  14. I feel like they really slapped a lot of Cathay fans in the face with the dlc. It was kinda embarrassing to be honest. Basically copy pasted the same LLs that we had and then gave us a carrion unit that actually does damage and two of the same unit in a different colour. It was really bad

  15. Armor piercing crossbows are stupid and I don't get why everything has to have AP. Great battle, well casted, but the black orcs and spider might as well have just not been in the battle. 1 charge on that net would make for an excellent unit. 3 charges? Yeesh. If nothing else, I think its range should go WAY down.

  16. Super unpopular opinion incoming and I'm sure people are going to attack me for it – but I actually don't think the value for the DLC is THAT bad. It's not good, and it should be good, but I personally really love the focus on narrative campaign and the fact that they brought it into Immortal Empires as well. Faction mechanics are great and I love the few units we got. I don't think it's worth the price tag mind you, but add a Hag Lord, Cathay melee hero, 1 tzangor variant, 1 akshina variant and 1 celestial dragon guard variant and I'd be pretty happy with the DLC.

  17. I wonder if akshina and streltsi could actually work well in concert. The problem i always have with streltsi is that when things get all mixed up together they often have trouble targeting things due to line of sight. Akshina neatly sidestep that issue with their arc fire, so adding 2 units of streltsi to an akshina line for a bit better holding power could be freaking awesome

  18. I do not understand the identity of Kislev in relation to other factions anymore. Net + AP Skirmish without the need to bring a Lord and/or mage should be something that defines the best-in-game skirmish faction…. and it just came in on the sideline.
Also – a top-tier kite-faction should have the obvious weaknesses associated with it. Like the WE having no shielt+armour units e.g. Kislev can now bring counters vs all counters. To me this shows how little love and thought went into this DLC.
