Summer may be coming to an end but Sunscreen is forever! Sharing my thoughts on new Japanese sunscreen formulas! Here are some of my favourites and some, not so much. I’ve included new formulas as well as ones that were reformulated and re-released this year and last. I didn’t review the sunscreens that only went through repackaging but formulas remained the same. Omg THANK YOU 🙏 I live in tokyo and have sensitive skin and until recently have really not been able to use anything other than mineral sunscreens or super high end and expensive sunscreens that I order online. Plus my lack of reading Japanese has really kept me in the dark about many cosmetics here. ( except the masks .. I have literally tried ALL of them and have landed on a few I can’t live without)

    Many years ago when I couldn’t afford a dermatologist, my face was in DESPERATE need of help. I had sun damage, melisma, and acne damage. Your videos save me and thanks to your, I felt more confident.
    Now, my skin is way healthier and it is in big part because of you. Thank you 🙏🏽

Skin Aqua used to be my favorite until they ruined it after 2019 by adding green tea which my skin hates…. now I’m using Nivea Japan Super Water Gel, not my favorite, as I preferred how the Skin Aqua made my combination oily skin matte, and was water resistant. But realized my sensitive Rosacea skin doesn’t like alcohol, and Japanese sunscreens are all alcohol, as my face is always red and causes bumps and white heads as well as pustules . Can’t use physical ones as I’m allergic to mineral.

  15. Does anyone know of a product like the Kanebo Allie Face Gel without scent? I don’t have oily skin but I need sunscreens that are not too moisturizing because my nose area seems to sweat in the summer heat if I put on any sunscreen that is too moisturizing or thick & I’m allergic to fragrance. Thanks you for any help or advice anyone can give!!! ❤

  18. I’m so overwhelmed with the amount of great sunscreen options nowadays. I feel this need to try them all since a high protection cosmetically elegant, good for sensitive skin sunscreen used to be very hard to come by

  29. Thank you for this video and i’m going to try out the Allie cheek UV. I have oily skin and my favorite so far is the Skin Aqua UV Essence Gold. it’s so moisturizing and light on my skin 😊 Could you also recommend a japanese brand tinted moisturizer and foundation for my skin type? thank you.

  31. The Allie UV Facial Gel has been a long time holy grail for me so really glad to see you include it in your favourite list! I'm still trying to find a different brand that could also reach holy grail status so will definitely check out some of the other ones on this list!! (Tried out the aqua skin uv gel, anessa perfect milk and biore aqua rich uv gel heh)

  42. I stay away from most Japanese sunscreens – unfortunately a lot of them contain Octinoxate which is extremely irritating for me, especially around the eyes. Those of you who find certain chemical sunscreens irritating – always check if they contain this filter (be aware it comes under several other names as well). Some CC/BB creams contain it too and it is still irritating, even though the amounts are smaller.
