Im a little salty that there is an inquisitor that kept his nemisis daemon hammer but we didnt keep ours.
Paying more points for defense that wasn't really needed isn't a great trade off. Now less weapons on table overall for more points. Killing will be a bigger problem than in 9th.

Hail to the best GK player! Servitors are a bit disapointing now with the points increase. Have you checked the Agents of Imperium Exaction squad? For 35pts you get 5 bodies with T3, 3+, 5+ FNP and OC 1. You can two of these guys alongisde 2 assasins/inqusitors. I'm surprised that no one is talking about this, they would be a good, durable backline screen.
I think there's a typo with the purgation squad. 165 points for 5 but only 275 for 10. 165×2=330 unless I'm making a mistake here…

I was thinking about having terminators with apothecaries running around and abuse astral aim with purgation squad and have venerable dreads to help with re-rolls, run some interceptors to help with the objectives and I was also considering the Callidus Assassin which seems really cool just to annoy the opponent, any thoughts about that possible strat?
Anyone notice the "discount" for bringing 10purgation vs the other units? The other units are double for 10nmodels, purgs aren't. Just thought it was worth a note 👍
Play tested Crowe can shot todes off an objective but he did have some support from box nought re rolls
I feel GK lost a bit of their thematic rules in the Index (tho I know all armies did). Maybe in their Codex armies will get more depth and variety in rules (without going stratagem rules bloat). It would be a "cherry-on-top" for me if GKs got some sort of rule for the army that reflects their anti-daemons / anti-psyker strengths. Example for possible future Codex stratagems that can reflect this:
DAEMON HUNTERS: When a GREY KNIGHTS PSYKER unit targets a DAEMON model with a [PSYCHIC] or melee attack, that attack has [ANTI-DAEMON 4+].
THE AEGIS: GREY KNIGHTS PSYKER units have a Feel No Pain 5+ ability against Psychic Attacks.
16:48 To be fair the Ven. Dread did get a Sv 2+, but I agree overall it's a definite downgrade. If they baked in the Teleport Assault it would be a lot more flexible and interesting.
No thoughts on bringing in a knights ally to get some anti tank? Im currently running the storm raven has been kinda meh and it dies. Kinda paying a premium to get my box naught up there

I was thinking that the sigil pairs well with a 1CP halo for the GMND. Drop 9" away from the nastiest tank option you can get close to, if you fail the charge and they target you, simply teleport back a few inches until you are more than 12" away. Unless they have some fast units to get close and force to you reappear farther away, can get a good chance for a second turn charge against a large target without it getting to shoot the grandmaster to pieces first. Works with termies too, but the 8" move lets the grandmaster get back in there easier after backing up.
I wholeheartedly disagree with your point of view on this. I have watched both this video and the one going over each unit. We went from High mid-tier to close to the bottom. I know games are won in the movement phase. We totally rock there. But, for newer or average players, there is going to be a brutal learning curve. We don't kill. 40K moved to a shooty game. Melee isn't the answer anymore. We have too many flaws and gaps. No reliable anti tank. We have factions that kill us when we shoot anything or just ignore our shots. T-Sons… We are way overcosted. Paladins at 51 points per model. Terminator at 45 points each. 2+ armor saves on 3 units doesn't make us any more durable than other armies. Things that kill SM still kill us. 16% better on 3 units isn't game breaking. We don't get enough CP to use all the strats all the time. I've been saying this for 2 weeks. But, I'm in the minority. I just look at the math. I can't wait until a bunch of games get played and we have more data. But, we are too elite, but are out elited by other armies. Compare Wulfen 100 points to Strikes at 135. Wulfen are 3+/4++ to our glorious 2+. They do S5 AP1 D1 vs our S6 AP2 D2. Same number of wounds. 8" Movement to our 6". So here we get slightly better damage in melee vs less durability. And get to spend 35 more points.
I think Draigo brings a loot value just because of the 4+ FNP against MW, which is really prevalent in the game
So, I`m completely ok with points increase, but comparing to other fractions… if you compare gk termies and assault termies with termochaplain wich gives them +1 to wound and 4+ fnp, sm termies also have t5 and 4+ invun and they are chipper + OOM + mortals on thunder hammers + 1 wound from shield… it is defiantly not in gk favor. Also about Draigo, he + MW strat is only thing that can reliably kill Greater daemons, daemon primarchs, avatar or Yncarne
100% flamers. Flamers all the way. There's permanent cover everywhere, so ignore cover basically measn 1 extra AP no questions asked. Flamer plunging with Purifying Flame will pick up pretty much any infantry most likely. 14 shots average, wound about 9, save about 3 if you're a marine, that's 3 dead. Then the purifying Flame should pick up the rest of the squad since it also ignores cover.
My army was 3 las/RL dreadnoughts , 3 units of terminators and a unit of paladins. Librarian, Draigo and two apothecaries. No idea what l do about the banners. I sold the parts, same as the third apothecary. Without banner and apothecary the terminators are very overcosted. Maybe l will try to run 2 units of terminators and two units of paladins. Wish GW added terminator armoured purifires .

Personally, I feel like we NEED to have Purgation squads. With the massive points increase (What I took to ACO is going to cost me 2,450 points in tenth..), I feel like we need to have that further back protection to whittle down opponents so we can trade our front line guys more efficiently. Not to mention, plunging fire while being able to yeet away quick and efficiently is awesome, and you can't always guarantee a NDK base is going to fit on a building either. It's just my POV though, and I have a LOT of testing to do.

Don't you think that the general damage input is weak for the cost of the army? Ok we are fast but what is the point if we can't kill anything? It seems that all our killy units and damage ability has been nerf for extra point. The Gmdk, Draigo, Crow, BM capability, low ap weapons. Xhat do we have?
